  1. Minerals13 - - I noticed your earlier post regarding the time it takes to get the lapband. If you are self pay it may not take as long as you think. I went to my first seminar on October 2 and my surgery was less than 2 weeks later on the 15th. I am 55 and I did not want to wait any longer. I am so glad I did it. I recovered from the surgery quickly and feel like I am on my way to a new life!
  2. My surgery was 2 weeks ago tomorrow. I did great and recovered nicely. This morning I could hardly move. My shoulders and upper back ache and it hurts when I breath in deeply. I do not have a cough and other than that I feel fine, able to eat, etc. I wonder if it could be from the gas everyone is always speaking of here, I really never experienced any of those pains after surgery and wonder if I am having them now? I do have a Dr appointment in the morning (not lapband dr., regular primary care Dr.), I see the lapband Dr on Tuesday.
  3. Oh my gosh Lori - - you are my hero! I am only 2 weeks out and have about the same amount as you did to lose. I hope I do as awesome as you have!
  4. Congratulations! I know just how you feel. I am 55 and was banded on 10-15-07.
  5. I used Capital One also and it was real easy. Online application was approved within minutes. If your doctor is already registered with them it is very simple to apply.
