    Clothing Sizes

I went from a 22/24 to a 16W depending on the cut of clothing. I have very large legs to the knee so the tight legged/skinny or some boot cuts just don't fit. I have always lost real fast inches in my waste but the legs remain. I have lost 60 pds. The size change was strange, i lost one size without losing a pd (during a week long stall)

    Favorite Protein Drink?

My favorite is the Isopure Water Zero Melon flavor, second is the GNC 100 whey protein... chocolate
  3. I am almost three months out. Our loss is very close to the same pass. I lost 15 before surgery and 45 after. Your body is getting use to the starvation mode. Just stay calm you will lose. 22 lbs is great for the first month.
  4. Well I have uploaded the before and now pics... Oh the absolute shame. I am mortified. But I feel somehow freed by posting the pics. I feel strong that I faced it and came through.

    Food melt down

Stay calm.... It is not that you can't eat it after the sleeve, it is you shouldn't eat it - fatty foods, high sugars, no nutrition. The only thing I "Can't" have is Carbonated soda. Honestly I don't miss it. You will find if you get your Protein in, there is no room for the rest so you just don't want it. My doctor explained it, you will no longer be eating, you will be tasting. It is true. My taste buds have changed since surgery. The thought of something greasy is out of the question. Sweets no longer elicit the supreme joy I use to have with them. The only challenging relationship with food is "salt" for some reason I salt everything. I never owned a salt shaker until this surgery... Very strange.

    Food melt down

I fall in the lucky bunch, I haven't had any break down over food. I was sleeved July so I am basically eating what I want (I only eat low fat). I made brownies for my boyfriend the other day and after giving his on a napkin, ate the crumbs off the fork. I thought he was going to pass out. He said, I thought sweets would make you sick? Long story short, the crumbs were not what I thought they would be (they were not nirvana). I have yet to regain the hunger for sweets, the salty has come back but I am snacking dry roasted edamame (14 gr protein) in 1/4 cup. Yes that fills me up.

  11. Great sharing. I am still looking for that "I am about to get full signal". I have worked on an ambulance my entire life so slow is not in vocabulary when it comes to eating. My worse times is when I am unable to measure food.. ie restaurant. I always eat 1 - 2 bites more than I need to be full. It seems like the full bite doesn't get to the stomach before the too full bite gets to the mouth no mater how slow I eat.... I am a July sleever ... so I am still learning.

    Collarbone!

My boyfriend ask me what I did to my shoulder. I said nothing, he said there is a knot swelled up on it. It was my shoulder bone. ... How funny is that... Love the clavicle... I know exactly how it makes you feel. Congrats
  13. Just noticed I was watching the clock, waiting on eating time... Must stop only eat when hungry.

  14. I use GNC protein powder - 1 scoop in 1/2 cup skim milk - that is 24 grams of protein in 4 oz - just the right size so it doesn't make you feel bloated. Also GNC carries ISOPURE Protein water - 40 grams of protein in 20 oz of water - and only like 110 calories. Think protein and water - don't concentrate on calories.
  15. The smallest I have been since an adult was a 13 (very tight), so I can not imagine anything smaller than that - single digit sizes are like unicorns to me. In July I was size 22/24 on bottoms and 2x (men's)shirts dress sizes 22. I am now in size 16 on bottom (comfortable) and lg/xl (ladies) shirts. I was very bless in the top area so I can't imagine getting to a medium shirt unless I loose a lot of boobage. After reading some of the stories I could only dream of the unicorn - Size 8
  16. Just saw a study from California State speaking of ideal weight.... Medium frame woman...100 pds for the first 5 feet of height and 5 pds for each additional inch.... Holy crap I can I dream of 125, that don't even seem like an obtainable number.

Then I would have to weigh 115 pounds. That would never happen even after I've left this life and in my resting place for 10 years. I'm just saying.

Yes finediva, I think it would put me six feet under! Or look like I should be... Lol!

Am I eating enough to lose weight?

I exercise about 4 times a week - I vary the exercise between walking 2 miles and running (gasping catching breath and running again) for 1 mile. Funny story my doc told me nothing strenuous for three months. As a fat person I did not know the definition of strenuous. I told him "At 250 lbs tying my shoes is strenuous, you will have to be more specific for me" after laughing he told me walking and attempting to run was good stuff, but wait for weight training (lifting that increases abd pressure)

    Question (:

Don't move until your doctor tells you. You may have been ok this time, but the passage through your stomach is small if food does not digest and backs up you can get a blockage and rupture your suture line. Get low fat cream of chicken Soup and put it through a strainer (no chicken pieces allowed)... that is what I made it through on. Good luck.

    Surgery completed on Sept 16th

Congrats... I understand... I waited till 49 wish I would have done it in my 20s. I am two months out and love my new life. Hope you recover well.
  20. So who determines my goal weight? did your surgeons tell you the goal or did you just pick a number.

Am I eating enough to lose weight?

Just how the doctor explained it to me - It is in and out - Calories in vs calories out (burned). Your body will attempt to restore glycogen or glycerin stores (liver process that is energy)(body will just use less) they are used up during the first weeks of the body getting use to lower calorie intake. Once your body has restored the glycerin/glycogen (don't remember which it was) stores you will start loosing. Are you gaining? When I went into the stall for 5 days I didn't gain, just didn't lose.

    Finding the Right Sugar-Free Popsicles

I make my own... The only real flavor I like is lime and I like them real tart. I have Popsicle forms that hold 4 oz per Popsicle x 4 Popsicle. juice from three limes add more for a more tart taste Enough Water to make 2 cups total 3 - 4 splenda packets (sweeten to your taste) And freeze. They are harder since they have no sugar but are not like just ice. I enjoy one every night and at around 30 to 40 calories I call it guilt free
  23. I said girl surgery.. and when they ask how I am loosing so fast I tell them - a major lifestyle change
  24. Little depressing - went to buy new jeans (just one pair) I have some smaller ones but they just look too tight. Problem, my legs and around my knee apparently have not received the update I have lost 50+ pds. I have a size 16 butt and hips and size 20 legs. I darted the old pants till it looks stupid (like something moved out of the ass of my pants). Glad the weight is going by dang wish it would kinda loose from everywhere at the same time.
