    5 month update?

That's fantastic for 5 months!!!!! For me Hw 264 sw cw 205. 7 1/2 months post op. I get through the stalls one day at a time. I've learned my body and how I feel when I'm in a stall. I just stay away from the scale in days I feel I haven't lost. My body feels different when I start losing again. I have found I will lose really big one week and really slow a few weeks then stall. My longest stall so far was almost a month.

    Terrified

Oh and I had a lot of those fears too. I asked my husband every day a week before surgery if I was going to die during surgery. It was a piece of cake! I would do it all over again. No regrets.

    Terrified

I had a VSG almost 8 months ago. I too dieted like crazy my adult life. I was denied life insurance and in BP meds at 45. I will be celebrating my 46 birthday hopefully 100 pounds lighter. I'm down 58/60 pounds depending in the day. I have no regrets. I'm not sure of your health conditions but the surgery for me was extremely painless. No complications was back to work in a week. My insurance paid 55% and I'm paying the rest. It's definitely a life change and I am learning still what I can and can't tolerate. I have no regrets and I don't believe your age should be an issue. There were women in my surgeons office who appeared to be older than mid 50's. Hope this helped. I'll answer anything I can if you have questions. Good luck and keep me posted.

    CHEW CHEW CHEW

Almost 7 months for me and I slip up now and again and I'm reminded every time why it's important lol. I really try to eat something every 2-3 hours and it helps. Even if it's string cheese.

    Stopped losing

I stalled for 3 weeks after my first 17 days. Hang in there. I know it doesn't seem like it but the weight will fall off. I'm almost 7 months and have lost (according to my surgeon) right on schedule. Down 55 pounds. You'll get there!

I Became A Drunk After My Gastric Sleeve Surgery

Did you all continue to lose weight while drinking? I'm 4 months post op and have had a few good nights of drinking over the holidays. I too have quit smoking 5 months now. I'm struggling with quitting my Captain Morgans......

Newly Sleeved as of December 21st

Congratulations! It sounds like you made the choice for very valid reasons. I had surgery on the 15th of September. I live in Washington state so I had surgery in Kirkland. I have lost 40 pounds since August. I had hyper tension and have since quit my meds. Well wishes to you on your journey of life changing choices.
  9. I was sleeved 9/15/14. I too have lost (what seems) slowly. But 36 pounds down from heaviest weight. I'm super thrilled because even if the dam scale didn't move, I'm shrinking!!!!
  10. not 65 pounds ugh. 35 pounds.
  11. I was sleeved 9/15. I did great with weight loss the first 3 weeks and then I literally stalled for like a month. I finally stopped obsessing about the weight. It's comes off slowly for me but it's still coming off. About 1-2 pounds per week. I was 264 at pre op diet. 259 at surgery and and currently 229. It may not seem like much, but it's 65 pounds in 13 weeks. When you say it like that, it's a lot! Be patient. Stay away from the scale for a few weeks.
  12. Is there a private September sleever Facebook page that I could join?

    decemeber 2014 sleevers post up

I've never been banded. Welcome to the sleeve universe. I've had my sleeve 3 months and know a few banded folks. Your sleeve will tell you to stop eating. Trust me! I used premier Protein shakes from costco. I actually like them a lot. My dietician said they are one of the best out there. I only ever tried the chocolate tho. Good luck with surgery!
