  1. I agree. My weekends usually go by quickly but I have a feeling this weekend will drag.
  2. You're lucky... I have to wait until noon. No drinking anything starting at midnight and all that waiting. I am going to want water.
  3. Just a weekend to go.... Is everyone ready for the 8th?
  4. I am scheduled and all set for Gastric Bypass Surgery on Sept. 8th (Monday) and I get a call today at 4:50p from my surgeons office saying that I have not been approved by my insurance company. Apparently my surgeons office asks for prior approval for a hernia repair just incase you have one. My insurance didn't like that part at all and wanted to go back and forth about it. So I was told that I would have to wait until Monday morning (I'm supposed to be at the hospital at 12p) and they will call me and let me know if my surgery is happening as scheduled or if we have to reschedule. TALK ABOUT TORTURE!!!!!! I was freaking out. 10 minutes later.... I got a call from my Ins. Co. saying that my surgery is approved!!!!!! She said she didn't want me to have to wait over the weekend not knowing. I'm so freaken thankful!!!!! Now for the nerves....
  5. There is a thread about this very topic.... I am not sure what you should search for but it should not be buried too deep.
  6. Me too but from the LA area.
  7. If you guys are doing FB.... I would love to join a super secret society private group. ???? I have IG but I don't know what everyone can see because I only told my husband that I'm having WLS.
  8. I am so sorry to hear this.... I read that others have gone through this before and it is always a blow especially so close to the date they gave you. I hope whatever it is, it's fixable and can still be taken care of so you can have surgery this month. Hang in there girl....
  9. I haven't because it seems like the reviews are about 50/50 on taste and I have a lot of protein drinks that I already like. I don't want to potentially waste the money.
  10. I personally would tell him... You don't even have to say that you had surgery, you can just tell him that you lost a significant amount of weight and that you have loose skin in certain areas. Honestly the boob part shouldn't be a big deal because after having children... A lot of women have to deal with that. Good luck.... I hope he stays that great guy.
  11. I drink pure Protein, total lean and shakeology. I bought the pure protein in the cans so that I would have something to grab and go that won't seem gritty after surgery.
  12. It's not easy but I don't think I'm really hungry most of the time.... I think I just want what I know I can't have. I am so happy that I actually like Protein shakes though.
  13. Hello.... I wonder how many of us in total will be having surgery on the 8th. Seems like a lot. I can't wait to hear about everyone's experiences. KyrieAlaina- are you currently on a liquid diet?
  14. Hi Heather_marie I'm excited too.... My Wednesday is half way over already. Time has been flying by. I have instructions for a liquid diet but I was told that I really just have to watch the carbs, sodium and sugar as well. I am mostly on liquids but I have had chicken once, veggies and fruit. Monday can't get here soon enough.
  15. Thanks for sharing... I will have to try these.
  16. Hello.... I'm having my surgery on Sept. 8th. I would love to keep in touch and follow each other through the process. I started the liquid diet on Monday 9/1 and so far so good.
  17. That is so great to hear.... My surgery is on Monday, I hope I'm as lucky.
  18. You are looking fantastic! Congrats.
  19. Congrats!!!!! I remember when we were both talking about how we couldn't wait to get a date while cheering others on. Our dates are close too.
  20. Oh.... It would be fantastic to just skip ahead. LOL I have no doubt that I can do this, I just hope that I will do it w/out complications.
  21. Good luck... I can't wait to hear how it goes.
  22. I am sooo shocked that doctors are okay with chicken broth.... Even low sodium has a ton of sodium.
  23. Today has been easier than I expected (so far). I think it's because I have been on the go since early this morning. I have not thought about food.... Unlike yesterday when that's all I thought about. Lol I need to get some exercise but I usually end up "thinking about it" but not actually doing it.
