At Last!
I've been accepted to the 200 club...I got on the scale this morning and I weighed 299.4. I am super excited. I know I still got a long way to go but at least I am no longer in the 3s. Yay!!!

Twohundredtown!
Yay, I'm also dancing around 302, and frustrated because I'm so close to the 200 club. I can't wait to announce as well. Hopefully soon, but definitely congrats to you on your success so far.

How often do you weigh?
I just feel that weighing myself everyday does more harm then good. I definitely agree with everyone here on why you should weigh yourself daily, but I find that I'm obsessing to much on the number, and want to throw my scale out the window...lol...so to prevent doing that I just need a break from weighing myself. Still gonna stay on track but just not going to weigh myself.

How often do you weigh?
Weighing daily for me tends to discourage me, because I feel the scale isn't moving fast enough. Or just watching it move one pound or ounce at a time. It just drives me up the wall. I know that stalls will happen but it is happening a little too frequently for me, and it sucks.

Stay away from the scale!
The scale is pissing me off because I'm stuck on 305, but the ounces keep going up. For example, 305.2, 305.6, 305.8. WTF??? I don't understand if I'm following the rules why can't I get to 299 already. This scale is really messing with me.

Stay away from the scale!
I'm officially going to put my scale up, because I'm getting frustrated when it doesn't move. I think if I just focus on my fluids and diet I believe the weight will fall. I'm just going to have my weight checked during follow up visits and judge how my clothes fit. The scale is only discouraging me. That is all!

Do You Eat like a "Skinny" Person?
How does a skinny person eat?? Because I know a few that eat like they should be obese. I say eat like a normal person, because a normal person knows when they're full or just being greedy, and some skinny people don't know the difference either, but they're just the lucky ones that don't gain weight. Must be nice!

I'm eating like a normal person
At first it disappointed me when I was forced to leave food on my plate because I felt like I would pop if I took another bite, but now I feel like this tool has changed my whole outlook on the way I eat. My body actually knows when to say when, and its really awesome.

Contemplating not having the surgery because I like to party?
The 6 months of education is a good thing prior to surgery because it gives you the opportunity to think long and hard about if this is something you want to do. I am 2 mos post op and my biggest challenge was the cigarette smoking, and my trigger was going out, just like yourself and that was when I did the most smoking. I too have a smaller friend and she would get all the head rolls, and although I'm not an ugly person, my weight had a lot to do with it. Even if you change your mind and not have the surgery because you're young and want to party, you're truly never going to be happy, because you sound like you aren't now. That's probably why you really drink to numb the pain that you feel when you're being ignored when you go out with your tiny friends. I only have one regret and that is that I wish I had done this sooner. I'm about to turn 37 and really allowed my weight to get out of control. I believe that you will do what's best for you, and sometimes that means making sacrifices, and it'll all be worth it. Best of luck!

The easy way out? Bullcrap!
You got that right. There is nothing easy about this whole life changing process. You still have to diet and exercise as with any diet. So when people say, "the easy way out," I wanna say they can suck it.

I'm eating like a normal person
Yes, I was talking to my brother yesterday, he had the sleeve, and we were discussing how we used to could eat a whole pizza by ourselves, and then feel guilty and miserable after we ate it. Like, "I can't believe I just sat here and ate a whole pizza like that!" And it really made me feel really lousy about it and depressing, and now even though I can't have pizza at my early stage I don't even think I'd finish one slice and that is really a blessing for me.

I'm eating like a normal person
I remember a time I could eat a whole plate of food, finish my daughter's food, and still have room for desert. But since the surgery I take a few bites and I'm done. I used to get frustrated but now I enjoy it because I feel like a normal person that knows their limits. I know that this isn't a NSV but to me it seems like it. Just wanted to share. Oh, and now my daughter finishes my plate...NICE!!!????

Mood swings
Yes it is terrible. I get really angry over things I usually don't get mad about. It sucks!!!
-
Mood swings
Does anybody else go through mood swings since they had weight loss surgery? I don't know what's wrong with me sometimes. I take care of my elderly grandparents. I do the cooking, laundry, and help out with doctor appointments. When I cook I have to cook my food separately because since surgery a lot of things they still eat I can't eat right now. So I was advising my grandfather that he may need to order take out for him and my grandma because the spaghetti didn't turn out right and he begins to jump down my throat. Now I'm doing my best and it seems like I get no appreciation for it. So I snapped, and explained to them that I'm doing my best and it doesn't help that they are jumping down my throat like its my job to do this. Maybe I'm wrong for getting upset, but when someone is trying to help you and the only one out of the 5 grand kids to help them then they should be more appreciative. Sorry just needed to vent.
