  1. That's fantastic! Congratulations!
  2. Congrats! I had mine removed and revised to the sleeve October 10th.
  3. I use Kelo-cote (similar to ScarAway). Has worked amazingly for me.
  4. How did I miss this thread?!? Amazing! You did your thang!!
  5. Awesome! I knew you could do it! Rinse and repeat tomorrow!
  6. Love the faux locks! They were generous with how small my boobs will be...not gonna happen, but I will take it!
  7. It does, Fluff! Will minimize the appearance and still help flatten if scar is raised. I have been using it for a variety of things over the past 10 years...kinda like everything can be fixed with a little duct tape...that's how I feel about kelo-cote!???
  8. Twice a day for 90 days will show great results. Keep some on had and ideally start the regimen when the scab comes off or if no scab, when the wound has healed/no longer open. It flattens raised scars pretty well, too.
  9. It would help if I spelled it correctly...?? Why, oh why, do I post at night?! Anywho, it has been a lifesaver (skinsaver?) of mine for years.
  10. Drink, drink, and more drink!
  11. Dig, if you will, a picture of my surgeon and I engaged in a conversation...I miss you, Prince?... So, I am at my 1 month follow-up appointment. The tip of the suture is sort of poking my skin just beneath the surface, without puncturing it. My surgeon is trying to pull it through to remove it, because it is painful if anything touches it. As she is using a plastic tweezer ? to try to get it out... Me: So, you let a resident tie the suture off, didn't ya? Dr: [Blank stare] Me: (Incredulously) a med student?! ...crickets... Bwahahaha! Actually she did it, then started to explain the shifts and how this came about...blah, blah, blah; yada, yada, yada; blase spiel, blase spiel... Still couldn't get it out..."when it pokes through use a razor".??? (Love my surgeon, by the way...the most non-stereotypical surgeon I ever encountered.) Thank God for Kelo-kote, though! Applied twice daily, religiously. My lapband scars are nearly invisible (only the port site was slightly visible). The new scars look great and I expect the same type of resolution.
  12. Of course you do! Give it the ol' college try!! We will be rooting for you!
  13. Are you getting all of your water in (it would help with hunger, too)? You can do this!!
  14. You have to prioritize getting your meals in, if you want to be successful. Set a reminder and just do it!! One more week? You owe it to yourself to follow the plan. The potential alternative: you haven't done enough to shrink your liver, they go in and can't do the procedure...with all you had to go through to get to this point, not following the plan isn't worth it!
  15. Why aren't you eating anything during the day? What are you parameters?
  16. Your presence is missed. Take care of yourself, sleevetwin (on a different date)?!
  17. My first thought was "FU and the horse you rode in on!", but since I am now no longer indignant for you...what she said.^^
  18. Looking great! @insta_adventurer
  19. Happy Surgiversary! Beautiful then, beautiful now!!
  20. @FlyAwayFree when I was at my pre-op psych eval, the psychologist asked me on a scale from 1 to 10 how certain I was that I would get to goal. I said 8. He looked at me and was a little surprised. When further prompted, I told him I had been on many diets since I gained 65 pounds during pregnancy, even had the lapband placed (lost, then gained when the fluid had to be removed), never seemed to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight, and once I approached it would maintain that weight for about an hour before my weight increased again. I am pragmatic and even though I see so much success here, I wasn't sold because I can lose weight like a champ...maintaining it is a-whole-nother story...but now I am convinced. I have NEVER lost 20# in the first month (have your EVER lost 50# in a month?!), never been satisfied with such little food, never not (forgive the double negative) craved chocolate, pizza, chips or ice cream....UNTIL NOW! This time really is different. I am really taking advantage of this tool that has been given to me (I had better since I electively had a procedure to remove 70-80% of my stomach), internalizing the new healthy habits and while I am just a month out, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel...and it is not a train! Here's to 15 years of weight to lose (my baby is no longer a baby)!!! In addition to the support you can get here, therapy is a good thing! Take advantage of any resources at your disposal! You can do this!
  21. Surgery date: 10/10/18 Height 5’3 SW: 210.8 (+8 pounds added fluid weight in hospital) CW: 191 GW: 140
  22. You look fantastic! Congratulations!
