  6. Hi Lisa! I completely understand what you are saying and you are right, anyone who hasn't been where we are just has no idea what we go through. Good luck to you!
  7. Hi and welcome to LBT! Congratulations on getting your band and good luck!! Here is a thread with ticker help too: http://lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=16218
  8. Hi Kelly! I was considering LMC, but opted for Baptist because it is a little closer to home and I was familiar with one of the doctors there. Congratulations and good luck!
  9. I was scared/nervous before mine too due to a history of depression, but I went and told the truth and he passed me. Good luck to you!
  10. Have you looked locally? I lived with a truck driver almost 3 years and when he came off the road, he found a job driving a truck delivering battery boxes in an industrial park from the plant that made them to the plant that made the batteries. The pay wasn't nearly as high, but it was money until another long distance job came along. Good luck to you! If nothing else, you will find a lot of nice people and support here.
  11. Hello everyone. I was born and raised Southern Baptist, deep in the Bible Belt, but came to my senses about all that about 15 years ago and now consider myself Wiccan. Glad to see I am not the only one around and look forward to chatting with/getting to know some of you!
  12. Woo Hoo!! Way to go Shortgal!!! I am staying on plan today because I have been down everytime I have been to the doctor and don't want to start going back up! I haven't started the pre-op diet yet, but have just been trying to control my portions, eat better and get exercise.
  13. Not gaudy! I LOVE the cartoon (being a redhead myself, I feel a kinship to her ) and the rest of it is getting various things across that you want others to know about you. So, to me it's
  14. I can't answer your question because I really feel that is an individual decision based on how you feel at a given weight/size and no one else can tell you what that will be. BUT, I did at least want to say congratulations on the awesome weight loss and good luck on getting the rest off!
  15. Hi Kimya! Check on the insurance thread on the message boards and I'm sure you will find some info about Cigna. I am at the same point as you...waiting. Hope you hear something soon!!
  16. Sorry you are having to wait. I think that is the hardest part of this whole process...WAITING!!
  17. Do I dare ask...Desperate for what, my fellow South Carolinian:confused2:
  18. Very informative. Thanks for sharing your experience.
  19. You have definitely already passed the test most of us live in fear of - attaining insurance approval! Now that they have that, they will probably get all of your pre-op tests done pretty quickly. With no comorbidities, I had everything except my psych eval done in one day! Now, you should probably start by asking your doctor what his post-op diet restrictions are and stocking up on supplies. There is an excellent thread here: http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f218/first-few-weeks-after-lap-band-surgery-58227/ you might want to check out too. Good luck to you and keep us posted on how you are doing.
  20. Congratulations on your weight loss so far and good luck in the future!
  21. Congratulations and good luck!
  22. Not much longer! I am still pre-op as well, so can't tell you what to expect. I just wanted to say congratulations and wish you luck!
  23. Nope, it won't be long now! Good luck and let us know how it goes!
  24. Hi and welcome to LBT! There is a load of information here to assist you in making a well-informed decision about the future of your weight loss. Good luck on your journey!
