  3. Hi - I'm from Millis - would be interested in local support group if you are still!
  4. we've all had days like that - next time try water and a walk or a few deep breaths - don't beat yourself up over it - just start again!
  5. me too - but last time I had a fill it was too much and I couldn't eat anything - that wasn't good either - I guess you have to find a happy medium!
  6. we all are- probably one of the reasons we end up needing the lapband - be proud of yourself for making this big step - it was a big step! - you'll be fine
  7. I'm having the same problem - what is the name of the book?
  8. what you are feeling is normal - the doctor will not be upset with you - it gets better after a couple of fills - don't give up!
  9. I would be interested depending on when - thanks - Meredith -Millis

hi - having some of the same issues with hunger - 21/2 weeks after surgery - just trying to remember lap band is a tool - eat slowly, chew well, and make good choices until your fill - I think most people have a hard time at this point! good luck! - Mer
  12. Hi - had my surgery a week ago and had some of the same questions - good for you having surgery so young - wish I had done this years ago -you are way ahead of the game! your nerves and questions are normal this suite helps a lot so keep reading! I am on the post op diet although I started "mooshies" a little early with no problems - I find as long as I don't overeat there is no problem at all with throwing up and for right now the hunger isn't there -they also give you meds for nasea - I havn't mourned food because I feel I will still be able to eat - just small portions -when I was constantly on a diet there were times when I hardly ate anything! the doctor decides when to fill based upon your hunger and weight loss - and I also don't want a lot of people to know but it does help telling some who you know will support you - a few people have said they were proud of me - so you never know- my doctor had me on carnation liquid breakfast no sugar added - it's easy to find, tastes good, and does the trick - the ready made kind is available from carnationbreakfast.com - best of luck and remember to keep asking your questions! - Meredith
