  1. I had surgery 10/29 and it has been very easy. I have lost 19 lbs so far. Am in the second stage of liquids with no hunger problems. Tried a little soft food and was stuffed. I have six incisions that are healing with no problems. The cravings were first very strong but in the last day or so have gone away. The protein shakes have helped with this. I guess the only problem I am having is my pants and shirts are starting to look a little funny. I was in the position of either having it done or taking the chance of dieing young as both of parents did. This was a decision I made after many months of worrying about the what ifs. I am excited about my new future. If anyone has any questions send them my way. :clap2:
  2. just got back last night from Tijuana. Had surg Monday afternoon from Dr. Lopez at Hospital Angelis. I had no trouble what so ever. My BMI is 45. There were three others that were in line with me. All varaying degrees of pain or discomfort. I think the less your bmi the less problems. I was up and walking within 1.5 hours of operation. This is a very clean hospital and you get excellent attention. Only prob was the language barrier but it all worked out fine. They found a translator for me from time to time. And I know you are wondering if I would do it again...YES. I am an ex college f-ball player who had a large appetite. I have had jello, chicken broth and hot tea for each meal since monday. Still not craving my old habits. So far so good for me. I will answer anyomore questions you may have.
  3. I am set for surgery on 10/29 by Dr. Corvala. How did things go with your surgery and how are you doing? Any suggestions you can make for me to not be so anxious? thanks, aubrey
