  1. Santa Fe chicken I use about 3-4 already cooked frozen grilled chicken breast....just thaw them out enough to slice up. 1 can black Beans...drained 1 can corn....do not drain 1 cup salsa mix all of this together and pour into crock pot, then add chicken. I usually add about 1/2 c. of Water just to give me a little extra liquid Cook for 3 hrs. since your meat is already cooked you are basically just heating everything up really good. Then add 1 block of fat free cream cheese and stir occassionally until melted. This is so good and filling. You can serve over rice or just by itself.
  2. Well went this morning for a slight unfill and she didn't even take out 1/2 cc and wow what a difference I feel so much better. I was able to come home and eat a 1/2 c of soup and it didn't get stuck, I didn't slime and I am full so I know I didn't loose any restriction. I feel so much better.
  3. I am the same way. I got a fill last Tues and have had trouble with everything including a popscile and sometimes water. I am calling my Dr. tomorrow to go in for an unfill. I have lost 7.5 lbs since last Monday simply because I have not been able to eat and if I have ate anything I slime really bad.....Friday nite and tonite I was able to eat some soup and actually keep it down....there was a little pain with eating it but not too bad. Still going to call the Dr. tomorrow and would suggest you do the same it sounds as if you and I are in the same boat. Good luck
  4. Well I am definately calling Dr. office in the morning and getting in to get an unfill. I know I will feel so much better. So it is pure liquid until Tuesday at least. Water is becoming hard to get down without feeling like a rock between my boobs. There is a lady at our church and she and I have the same Dr. she just went this last week for an unfill and she said she feels so much better. I got to thinking though I am losing an avg of almost 9 lbs a month I can actually reach my goal before my bandiversary in Oct. If that is not motivation I don't know what to call it.
  5. :crying:Ok went this last Tues for my 4th fill and have had trouble eating since then. Tonite it was hard to get a popsicle down. I was ok drinking the water in the office after the fill but like the next day it was hard to get anything mushy down and it has continued. Tomorrow is Sunday and well I have slimed several times since this last fill so I am ready for Monday to get here.....I need some taken out. For those of you who have had to have a slight unfill has that set you back any on your progress. I had surgery Oct 24th of 2007 and have lost around 35 lbs. I feel great except for all this stuck mess and sliming.
  6. I am the same way. When I had lost just 20 lbs. my rings got really loose. I had to go to Walmart and in their jewlery section are these ring snugglers. They hold my rings in place so that I can wear them. Once I get to goal then I will have them resized.
  7. Good luck to you and hope that everything went well. I also used Dr. Adam Smith and had my surgery Oct. 07 I love his staff and everyone is so helpful and have their patients best interest in mind
  8. I used Dr. Adam Smith in Fort Worth and love him and his staff. He has had the lapband himself and also banded his nurse and one of the pysch's in his office. Staff is very helpful and quick to respond. I was self pay and it included 1 yr of free fills and after care
  9. I am almost 3 mths out since banding and bought a treadmill a week ago. I have to hold for the first few minutes then I swing/pump my arms but I also use the Lesile Sansone weighted balls and those give my arms a really good workout....
  10. I was also banded on Oct. 24th and have gotten to where in the last week or so I can eat a bit more but still get that full feeling and stop. I go in for my first fill on Nov. 27th I am excited as I am ready to get some restriction back and hopefully it can start with the first fill.
  11. ok i was banded on oct 24th and tonite ate a bowl of veggie soup. i guess old habits resurfaced and i ate too much too fast and had the most excruciating pain on my left side and up into my shoulder. the only thing that helped was laying down and it felt better after that. the worst pain i have ever felt and dont care to feel that again i have been stuck but gave it a few minutes and the discomfort went away
  12. This is where I had my surgery but was cash pay for the entire surgery. I would think that they would have you pay before the procedure would be done.
  13. I was banded by Dr. Smith on 10/24 and have lost 17 lbs. so far. I love everyone in his office and they get you in and out in such a timely manner. I go for my first fill on the Tues after Thanksgiving. I did alot of research before I chose my Dr. but picked Dr. Smith because he is also a lap band patient Dr. Ferrera did Dr. Smith's. Also one of the psych Dr.'s and one of the nurses in his office also had their lap band done by Dr. Smith. I found out recently a lady at my church got her lap band by Dr. Smith last yr. He or his staff have answered any and all my questions and been very helpful. Would highly recommend him and LBS.

i haven't had a fill yet but was told not to eat anything before i came in to get a fill. Also once you get a fill you are supposed to go back on liquids for a day or so and slowly work your way back to solids.....it doesn't take as long as when you had the surgery but work your way back slowly so that you can adjust. You know have some restriction probably where as before you didn't you and your body have to adjust.
  15. I was also banded on the 24th and have lost about 10-11 lbs. I have went walking a couple of times but want to start going everyday. I am on mushies and can eat things like shredded chicken....what you find in canned chicken....but the swelling has really gone down since surgery and the restriction I was getting from that is also going away. I do get hungry more often but have been able to control it. I will get my first fill the week after Thanksgiving and even though it may take a few fills to get to where I want I am so ready for the pounds to start falling off.
