  1. Well its getting close to surgery again, and there i go again getting super scared. I 've never been put under and its freaking me out. Also i have a 18 month old at home, and I am a stay at home mom but also a student online and this coming semesger i have a class on campus. My surgert date i hope is the 14th of this month and classes start the 16th. Im SO ready to lose this fat man. I want to know, life after being banded... are you normal? do you feel normal? do you have a sad feeling knowing it is in there? idk im scared to not have a normal life because of the band. I know eating is different but do you feel like the same person mentally?
  2. They pushed back my surgery i had taken pepto bismal because i was sick, and then i needed my h pylori so i had to wait 2 weeks to have the h pylori done, but with my schedule lately i cant have it done til Jan 14th, the monday after my bday (jan 10).
  3. Adopting! How awesome! good for you and congrats!
  4. Thanks! :Banane35:
  5. I personally hate junk food. I rarely eat anything sweet, unless an occasion like a birthday and I have a small piece of cake. I dont like chips, or anything like that, its just not me. And yet.. im still FAT
  6. I am so glad you asked! I have a 16 month old and Im supposed to be banned on 11/5/07! I will keep looking to see if anyone supplies more answers. Also I will try and ask my Dr too if i see him soon.
  7. Nina, Yes I am quite young, 23. And Im glad that this is available, I want to see my princess grow up and I want to see my great grandbabies! <3 Have you thought to try Water Arobics, you get a great work out and its a lot less strain on your knee. Should look into it, definatly worth it! From listening to the insurance coverage replies to the seminar I went to, a lady with Medicare will be completly covered even before they ran the Medicare check. Then I too was told the same thing with BC/BS federal, as long as i'd met my deductable, if not then of course no more than 250, or the difference from the total deductable and what i've met so far. Im so glad, that at this point in your life, you arent like a lot of people, and just given up. Im so proud of you and happy for you! I cant wait til you get some answers and things start working in your favor!
  8. I totally feel the same! Its amazing huh! Im terrified to have surgery, will be my first, and the site has definatly given me strength!
  9. Nina, Blue Cross Blue Shield FEDERAL will approve it, 100%, you just pay the co-pay. Thats the insurance I have. A lady at a seminar with me, sat next to me, she had Bc/Bs STATE and has to self pay.
  10. I vote for the 20lbs. You'll drop it quickly  along with more unwanted weight The 37 BMI not being acceptable is everywhere unless you have a health risk. My mom for that reason cant have it done with me. But she decided just to eat as i did, and not have the surgery, that and she doesnt have time to set aside right now.
  11. 19 views, in 2 days, and no advice/comment/welcome. im really starting to feel out of place here =
  12. You're quite welcome
  13. Nina, I think you should really consider finding maybe a different dr in your area. My Dr and his staff informed me that you had to be over 40 bmi, or 35 and over with health issues. As for the Psych exam, i havent had my evaluation yet, but i can hope that it isnt a whopping 700 questions. I hope that you can find a way to get the procedure done! Keep us updated!
  14. PB = Productive Burp Here are a list of abbreviations :Banane30: http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f73/abbreviations-what-they-mean-7959/
  15. Good luck! I know your surgery is in two days, update us when you are able to
