Whole30
Great. As long as you are happy with your results. I just know I would rather KNOW I am getting enough protein than to guess.

PLEASE HELP!
750 calories is very low. You say it doesn't matter what you eat and what you do so it sounds like you may have tried some different things. Have you tried upping your Protein? Upping your calories? Upping your Water? Are you tracking your food? How much protein are you getting in? Are you eating protein first? Are you eating frequent small protein-based meals and Snacks? Are you avoiding starches, added sugars (especially high fructose corn syrup), and fried foods? Are you eating healthy carbs? Are you eating healthy fats? Have you tried doing some different exercise? Weights/resistance training? Swimming? Yoga? A dance class? Are you eating mindfully? Taking small bites, eating slowly, and chewing thoroughly? Have you talked with your NUT about your concerns? What does he or she suggest? The obvious thing to me is that you should increase your calories (and possibly your protein depending on how much you are eating). Weight loss and liquids
As far as I am concerned, the numbers on the scale are pretty irrelevant until you can reliably get in your protein and fluids every day. Getting enough protein and fluids is critical for healing and for weight loss. That said, none of us lose at a constant or steady rate. We all experience stalls and slow downs and almost everyone has a stall about three weeks after surgery. Weight gain in the first week of surgery is usually because of the IV fluids and swelling (you did just have major surgery). Just follow your program. Focus on getting in at least 64 oz of Fluid and reaching your protein target. Take your Vitamins and supplements as instructed. Exercise when cleared. Stay off the scale. I feel like my partner isn't even trying to eat better
Not to say that he "should" be bringing home junk, but why in the world "should" he be upset if you don't buy it. If he wants it so bad he can go buy his own.

Great! Any particular reason you have chosen not to track your protein? How do you know whether or not you are getting enough if you don't track?

Clear liquids
Did your surgeon or NUT give you a list? Mine was anything I could see through (but not fruit juice because it has too much sugar). I may have been allowed diluted unsweetened juice but I don't remember. Clear liquids: Water Crystal light/Mio drops, etc. in water. Clear broth. Decaf tea. Herb tea. Syntrax nectar ProtiDiet liquid beverage concentrate. If in doubt, call your surgeon's office and ask. Best of luck with your surgery!

Weight regain sleeve vs. bypass
Instead of focusing on anatomy questions, I would be more concerned with a surgeon's experience. I lucked into an outstanding surgeon. I think he is in the sweet spot of being old enough to have a LOT of experience (over 4000 sleeves) but young enough to be open to the latest techniques. What I have been most impressed with though is his knowledge of the disease of obesity and his compassion and his program's support services. My surgeon spent about two hours explaining everything and answering questions in a group setting --- that is where I learned the most throughout this process. I probably wouldn't choose a surgeon who I was not confident in his or her judgement when it comes to the details of the surgery. It doesn't hurt to ask questions so you can understand exactly what is happening. And it is ok to keep asking until you understand. But, I am not one of these people who worries about the size of the surgical tools, etc. I did have the option of having my surgeon at a hospital with a new robot and one without. After talking with my surgeon I chose the one without because he was confident that my experience would be no different either way.

What am I doing wrong?
I would definitely suggest increasing your protein. Aim for closer to 80 grams.
-
Clear liquids
Try ProtiDiet liquid beverage concentrates. Syntrax Nectar may also be ok, too.
-
Workouts
Until I was cleared to get in the pool, I just walked some. Once my incisions healed, and I was able to swim, I started swimming (Water aerobics, laps, etc.).

I feel devastated..
You could also get a job and postpone your surgery for a little while.

Stall At 3 Weeks Post Op
Almost everyone experiences a stall about three weeks after surgery. None of us lose at a constant or steady rate. If you intend to lose a substantial amount of weight, then you will experience periodic stalls and slow downs. Stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the process. Just follow your program. Focus on getting in all of your Protein and fluids. Take your Vitamins and supplements as directed. Exercise when cleared. And, stay off the scale. 2 years post-op and need help!
Instead of counting calories, try counting protein. Make sure you are getting enough protein and water every day. Protein doesn't have to come from shakes at 2 years out: you are better off getting your protein from food anyway.

I feel like my partner isn't even trying to eat better
It's not about the food. Couple's counseling sounds like an excellent idea.

Hard to believe
160 is more than realistic and a far better goal than a size 2. I'm a bit mad at your mom for even setting such an unnecessary goal. I am reminded of episodes on both Grey's Anatomy and House.. I was angry with those moms too. My mom always said she would be thrilled if we both got under a size 16 so we could wear "regular" sized clothes. I am fine with that!

Three week stall - weight gain?
Small daily weight fluctuations are common. None of us lose at a constant or steady rate. We all experience slow downs and stalls. And, as you were expecting, most of us experience our first stall about three weeks after surgery. Getting a massage is a great idea. I love massages. Part of my lymphedema treatment includes twice daily compression treatments. I also schedule periodic full body massages. Just focus on following your program. Get in all of your fluids and Protein. Take your Vitamins and supplements. Exercise when cleared. And, Embrace the Stall! Embrace the Stall http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall

So angry I need to relax.
Don't give up. Setbacks happen. Just do your part.

I feel like my partner isn't even trying to eat better
There is a huge difference between setting an example and expecting someone to do what you think they SHOULD do. You need to take care of yourself. Let him take care of himself.

Embrace the Stall
This sounds like a great question for your NUT. I don't take probiotic supplements, but I eat a lot of Greek yogurt.

I agree. He didn't have surgery.
