I've called BCBSIL 3 times. Surgery was submitted 03/15. Called today - its in for review. I'm so anxious! Hopefully I hear good news tomorrow

Well it's been over a year since I have been here, but it feels good to be back!

I am within 1 pound of 200 pounds lost from my highest weight!

I am now about 13 or 14 weeks out and have lost 43lbs. I feel like this is not good but i know everyone loses at their own pace. Is there any food out there that we can use when those salty cravings hit. I've really not had any sweet cravings which for me is a milestone in itself but am i lacking in the sodium department? What do any of you suggest for when those cravings hit?

I eat pork rinds, babybel cheese or jerky. I used to eat nuts but it's hard for me to stop at one serving. Btw, 43lbs is excellent. You are averaging 3lbs a week. Hard to do w/o surgery. Learn from my mistake, I am still struggling to get to goal, over a year out. Stay away from the bad carbs, especially while in the weight loss phase. Good luck!

I am to show up at the hospital for my sleeve, gallbladder and possible umbilical hernia operation Tomorrow Tuesday Jan 26th at 11:30. 2 days after my 60th birthday. I can't think of a better way to start my 60th year on this planet. Just think next Birthday I will be thinner and hopefully able to walk. Please say some prayers and wish me Good Luck.
