Do you miss anything about being fat?
Nope can't say I miss one thing!. And I have even found the upside to having a double mastectomy! I didn't need a breast lift! They are done already!

Goal!
Well I think I am finally at my goal. It's been 5 1/2 months since my surgery. It's been wonderful! With the exception of the first two weeks post op when I thought I was going to die. Today just for the fun of it I went and tried on clothes at the store. I used to hate to shop. Now when I look at something on the hanger I think that will never fit me. I try it on and it does. I love my sleeve. One of the best decisions of my life.

5'9 women what was your goal weight?
Just curious what other women about 5'9 goal weight is? Most people do not take height into consideration. If I tell someone what I weigh they seem to judge me. I am 5'9 and weigh 153. My ultimate goal weight is 149.

HELP How do I get all my protein?
I would never be able to get enough protein without my protein drink (I cannot eat that much). I use Unjury chocolate splendor and a scoop of ûnflavored Genepro in 8 ounces of water shake it up in a blender bottle and get it really cold. I love it. And I didn't think I would ever stomach another protein drink, but since about 1 1/2 months out I drink one a day, with the two proteins I get about 51 grams of protein. My levels are excellent and my NUT said she didn't care if I had to supplement my diet with protein drinks for the rest of my life. I wonder why some NUT's don't want people to drink protein drinks. All my other meals are high in protein also. Mostly 2 ounces of lean meat and I am full. For snacks I usually have a few nuts.

Whole pills
I don't know if I was supposed to but I took small ones about 2 months out. I could not crush Meds or take the liquids. I split the bigger pills.

How often do you weigh yourself?
When was in the losing period I only weighed once a week, because I used to like to see that big drop in my weight. Now that I am trying to maintain I weigh everyday!

What does your restriction feel like?
I learned before my surgery to stop eating when I felt full. One of the best pieces of advice my NUT gave me. I don't hurt or get backed up. I just push away the food when I feel full. It works great!

Having a bad day 6!
Mood swings big time the first couple of weeks. Then things got better! I was pi$$:$d at the world, mostly myself for getting myself into this situation that I felt I needed to have surgery to get out of, had my surgery on 8-25-14 and have never been happier. Just know it will pass in time!

Gastric Sleeve Experts... Please Chime In!
I lost 100 percent of my excess weight and my surgeon said I would most likely only lose 60%. You can defy the odds. Stick with your program. It will come off. I had no stalls at all not even at the dreaded three week mark. Steady weight loss.

Getting vitamins down
Crushing medications DID NOT work for me. No matter what I put them in it made me gag. I was finally allowed to swallow pills and my life got much better.

Biotin how much are you taking
I take 30000 mcg of biotin a day. Lol. Probably overkill but I DONT WANT TO LOSE MY HAIR. Have had cancer and I freaked out about the possibility of losing my hair. I have not lost any except a couple of strands. Actually I lost more before surgery because I was eating like crap.

Dizziness
Pretty much the whole time yes, on and off. But I can tell you the last two months it seems to have been getting worse. I will be talking to my surgeon in a week and a half to get his thoughts. . Good luck and I hope yours gets resolved quickly.

Dizzy.....for weeks. Fainted tonight.
So last week I met my goal. I am still losing which is ok. I will have a buffer then. I am afraid I am developing an eating (or not eating) disorder. I have my fitness pal calories set at 800 and I will not let myself even get close to 800. I get all my water and protein in everyday. Just had my labs drawn last Saturday and they were all good. Iron was a little low so I started taking an iron pill. I have been dizzy for a few weeks. I sometimes have to hang on to furniture to regain my steadiness. Tonight when I was going into the bathroom I fainted. Not all the way. My legs shook uncontrollably and I slid down the wall to the floor. I didn't actually fall over fainting, but I could tell I was out just for a split second. I am getting a bit concerned. I think I may not be getting enough calories, but I refuse to eat anything that will make the scale go up. I think I will freak out if I see the number climb on the scale even a little bit. I have an appointment with my surgeon in another week and a half and will talk to him then. Did anyone else experience anything like this? And if so did you ever figure out the problem?

Has anyone actually gained the week after surgery?
Yes

Dizziness
I am five months out and I have been dizzy, however tonight when I got up to go to the bathroom. I had to hold on to the wall and I believe I actually fainted. I felt my legs start to wobble and kinda slid down the wall. I am at my goal as of last week and I am having a hard time eating enough food to maintain rather than lose.

Comfort Items
The blanket that my son made me which I take everywhere I go . Even on airplanes. And my iPad. We're my comfort items. Along with my husband who spent the two nights in the hospital with me in case I need anything before the nurses could get there for me. He bought them all donuts and cookies I think he was bribing them.

What NSV are you look foward to?
New clothes, new coats, new shoes, cute underwear. Lol. Met my goal last week and need a second job to support my shopping habits. My big goal was to wear a pair of Ms Me jeans. I now have two pair. Bought a new Malibu to celebrate. It's sporty and yes I am one of those "old people" who drive a car that's a little sporty. Now my challenge is to stop losing weight. Harder than I thought it would be! Good luck fellow sleevers on you NSV's.

Unjury protein powder questions?
I use Unjury everyday. I use the chocolate splendor and I mix it with water and a tablespoon of Genepro and get 50 plus grams of protein in 8 ounces, I am 5 months post op and at goal now. (Just two days ago). It worked for me to get my protein in.
