I weigh everyday, because then I know immediately if I am gaining. I also got an Aria scale awhile ago, so now I weigh myself on the scale I've had since the start, and write it down on my calendar like I have everyday for years, but then I also weigh myself on the Aria scale which syncs to MyFitnessPal. Sometimes if I'm feeling either extra thin or extra fat i'll weigh myself at other points during the day, but first thing in the morning, totally naked, every single day, is how I am able to best keep my weight on track.

Couple times a day ????

I'm totally annoyed right now bc I just got a HUGE HEAVY plaster cast on my arm and have no idea how much it weighs

I weigh myself every morning and night. I know obsessive but I have to to make myself accountable. I am almost 22 mos post op and will continue to do so lifelong, that is just me. It works for me.

My doctor told me daily...,but I prefer weekly...I pick one day a week and make that my weight day...I think after I hit my goal weight I will check it daily to keep tabs that I don't slip up

Glad I'm not the only one. I try not to weigh every day. I try to make myself go a couple days in between. Sometimes it happens and sometimes I sneak on the scale! Lol

I weigh naked before every shower and record it in MFP. It keeps me honest and makes the stalls seem like they last FOREVER! ;)

Throw out the scales.< /p>

it's about feeling better, getting healthy......its not about a number on the scale.< /p>

I'm glad that's what works for you! But don't assume it's what's best for everyone ????

I weigh myself every single morning and log it in. It helps keep me on track.

Too many people are afraid of their scale. They aren't afraid of looking at their speedometer to see how fast they are going or their gas gauge to see how much fuel they have left, but the thought of a scale gets them all upset. It's just a tool that tells you where you are at. It relays a factual piece of information. That's all. It doesn't shoot death rays.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
