  1. Surgery 8-25-14 down 140 since I started trying to lose (june 2014). Met goal last week down to 148.2. Started at 289. Height 5'9 And LOVING LIFE!
  2. I was on it for 10 days. I am six months out and now it is just a blip on the radar. I was allowed sugar free jello. Not sure if that's an option for you. This too shall pass. So worth it in the big scheme of things! Good luck!
  3. My NUT approved me to drink it at one time and then have other protein throughout the day. I am six months out. No problems and my blood work came back excellent. No deficiencies in protein. I use a scoop of Genepro and a scoop of Unjury in 8 ounces of water and its 58 grams of protein. I still eat protein at other meals. No junk. And less than 40 carbs a day. I usually get in about 500-800 calories a day. I think everybody has different rules. ????
  4. My blood work wasn't done until 6 months. It was quite extensive.
  5. This is my biggest fear. I am scared to death. I just met my goal and I am so afraid. Good luck to you, you can do it. You have all the right tools and you certainly know how since you already lost a significant amount of weight. I feel like throwing out all yoga and sweat pants so I cannot fall into just putting those on. However I have to wear scrubs for work and those aren't tight so it probably wouldn't work anyway. (Throwing out the stretchy things.)
  6. Yes!!! I am six months post op too. Went to my doctor she said to eat more complex carbs to bring up my blood sugar and she is monitoring my BP which is running about 105/59 sometimes the top number drops into the 90's. I actually passed out last week when I got up to go to the bathroom. Didn't remember even going down.
  7. I did t have any problems. I never even hit a stall.
  8. I seemed to have developed hypo thyroidisym after surgery. My PCP didn't put me on anything yet. I just reached gaol and she wants to recheck it in a month.
  9. I have a bunch of unused bottles to. I don't make recipes with them because I would just eat it all. So I do single serving things and I don't use the syrups that's often. Rarely.
  10. Has anyone started losing hair later than 6 months out? So far I have been extremely blessed. I have not lost my hair and was wondering if anyone started to lose their hair after 6 months post op.
  11. I feel guilty. I have to admit. Even though I should be in maintenance and can afford a little extra i freak out!!!
  12. You can do this. Start over from day one after your surgery. Eat like you did then. Get out and walk it will make you feel better. 100 pounds is a great accomplishment!!! Read the threads on depression, talk to your surgeon or NUT. find a church and start going. And most of all you always have a friend in Jesus. Delve into the scriptures. Things will come around for you.
  13. I am just over six months out. I have had no hair loss. Thank God.
  14. I am 5'9 my surgeon did not set a goal for me. I set my own at 150. I had several smaller goals along the way to re evaluate and I am now 147.6. I never thought it was doable either. My BMI is 21 something. Here is my after pic. I don't think I am boney. So it is doable. But you have to do what you feel is best for you.
  15. Thanks to you all for the encouragement. I really needed someone to tell me it's ok. But honestly I am a type A Personality I follow the rules. Except this time I made that exception. I realize it was one day and I am back on track today. Going to make sure I get in all my protein. Weird thing is I lost .7 pounds again today. I really need to try to maintain without the guilty feeling.
  16. Thanks for the pick me up. I keep looking in the mirror to see if I look different. Lesson learned.
  17. So I hit my goal this week. Today my husband and I went to the movies and I ate popcorn. That was at 2 PM Been full the rest of the day and I feel FAT. I HATE MYSELF for eating what I feel is too much popcorn. Know I am going to gain weight whe I get on the scale in the morning, not to mention for the first time since surgery I am not going to get my protein in for the day. Ugh! Not doing that again!! I feel like I need to lose 10 more pounds. I am so mad at myself. Just venting.
  18. Mine does the same thing. Day to day. I love it when it feels smaller. I hate feeling hungry.
  19. I set my calories to 900 and my protein to 60. And I watch my carbs no more than 40 but I don't set it. I just watch the total. I am 6 months post op and met my goal yesterday.
  20. My fitness pal....if I cannot record it, I don't eat it!
  21. Well I probably over indulge in the biotin, I get the cherry flavored chewable a from sams club I take three in the morning and three in the evening. That's 30000 mg or whatever that is. And Nioxin shampoo and conditioner can be bought on Amazon. I was using the smaller bottles at a local salon (jcpenney salons have it to). But it is expensive. I bought gallon jugs from Amazon and it was 85.00 for both gallon jugs. Not chap but if I don't lose any hair it will be worth it to me.My hair done grow as fast as it used to, but that's ok with me the color lasts longer that way!
  22. In the back of my mind I wanted to be under 150...at least 149.9 in my six month anniversary. I make it the morning of my six month anniversary I weigh 149.5. I thanked God he helped me through this. I am Ecstatic! It works. I love My sleeve!
  23. My surgeon told me, I had to sign a paper acknowledging all the side effects and that was one of them. I was worried but apparently not enough to not have the surgery. I have had many many surgeries due To having breast cancer and reconstruction I didn't have any hair Loss then either.
