I got home yesterday from bypass and I'm having the water bm issue. Between trying to get rid of the gas and bm I've lost control of my bm's twice. Very loose stool. Wondering how long it will take to form considering we are on am liquids. I also ended up having a large hiatal hernia as well. Coughing isn't too bad if you put a pillow on your belly.

I've only been home since yesterday evening but today had 2 episodes of loose stool. How much do you have to be having to show concern. I'm on all liquids so it's kinda hard to think I would have solid bm,s. Any thoughts

70 miles west of DC. Had dr Mayes in Alexandria. Just got home yesterday after Thursday bypass. Still have a lot of air build up from surgery which is sore. Going slow but also had a large hiatal hernia repair.

Waiting for on call doc to call me. Got discharged yesterday after gastric bypass and hiatal hernia. Sitting in chair and got some sharp pains in my right thigh. Any suggestions

I actually talked to the doctor on call at my surgeons office and he said I could. I just have to tell the anesthisiologist in the morning

Help. I'm in pain due to loose stool and want to take an Imodium ad. Is it ok to take one when I have surgery in the morning

I've been on meds for depression pretty much all my life. I was able to get some in liquid form because tomorrow morning is my surgery. Still concerned that my depression will get worse. I guess, just don't be afraid to ask for help

As I read everyone's list I can't help but cry. We are all beautiful. It's finally going to be OUR time to feel beautiful on the outside. I feel for everybody on here. Many days I don't even want to leave my house. My surgery is this Thursday. Very nervous but looking forward to by better half of my life after 40.

Ok I'm in. My top 10 1. Finally be able to go skydiving 2. Run a short marathon w/ my sister, niece and her partner 3. Look in the mirror without wanting to cry 4. Ride my Harley and look good, not like a blueberry 5. Put on a 2piece bathing suit again 6. Do more animal rescue work than I already do 7. I'm starting animal behavior college to become a dog trainer after surgery 8. Take my dog for a long walk that tires her out before me 9. Shop for clothes in the regular area. No more "women's" section 10. Feel healthy

I just filled out the info. How long did it take for you to get approved? Did you have to call your surgeon r does the site take care of everything?

Hey I just lost my bowl functions. I go in Thursday morning but have been on a liquid diet for a week. Guess thats why that happened. Thank god I was home. Will die if it happens anywhere else.

I'm the 26th also. Just starting my 7 day liquid diet.

Did any of you guys try chewable gas x after surgery? I heard gas pain is the worst thing we will have. I'm having my bypass on the 26th of June. Really scared about the pain. If I can handle a bunch of a tattoos, can I handle the after surgery pain??

I'm going in for my surgery on June 26th and I have talked to my doc about my anti depressants. I switched to liquid lexapro and they gave me a script for time released generic Wellbutrin. I do worry about my depression and not being able to take solid pills for a while. How long after surgery do we have to wait to take pill form meds?

Julitza716, I'm having my bypass on the 26th also. I'm really getting scared. Everyone talks about gas pain but I am wondering if they were taking chewable gas-x. What things scare you about surgery?

Healthyme, can we take chewable gas x? I get gas bubbles in my chest nice in a while so I kind of like having the gas x t relieve it.

Oh also, I bought chewable gas x for the gas pain everyone is talking about. Has anyone tried that?

Can someone give me a comparison on the pain you feel post op. I got approved today by ins and my date for surgery is June 26th. I'm really scared

Omg I finally got my ins approval today so my surgery date of June 26th is a go. I'm really starting to get scared now. I'm afraid of how much pain it will be. I can handle some pain. I have many tattoos and my eyebrow pierced but I've never had a kid. Trying to find out how bad it really hurts. Can someone give me a comparison to how much pain they had?
