Right thigh sharp pain

Waiting for on call doc to call me. Got discharged yesterday after gastric bypass and hiatal hernia. Sitting in chair and got some sharp pains in my right thigh. Any suggestions

It can be nerve pin from the hernia. It can also be sciatica

Mine was my left thigh I had pain and a burning feeling. also thigh felt numb. I was told this was because they had to strap my legs down during surgery, because operating room table was too narrow. 4 mo. later no pain but still some numbness and weakness. Doc also says this could be caused by sciatica.

Shoot!!! I got this too! It's called "meralgia paresthetica". I had a small touch of it prior but after RNY last week, it flared up worse than ever. Very painful to walk with and to sleep with. Weight loss is key to curing so it's ironic to get after WLS surgery!
