  1. Genepro powder is awesome. 30 grams in a tiny scoop and it mixes great with hot tea. Not taste at all. I have 2 cups of tea a day to at least get my 60g without my food
  2. I just eat the cheese off it. Bread fills u up too fast
  3. Please make sure you really think about possible complications. I shrugged it off and I'm now the 1%. 6 weeks in the hospital, ventilator almost died. Not trying to talk you out but make sure you really understand what could happen.

  12. I had a similar pain and it was nothing. Call and ask your surgeon just to be safe
  13. After my living nightmare of MY experience with gastric bypass and after all my surgeries and complications, I cannot get even close to the protein I need. My tummy hates the shakes and I can only eat a very small portion. Don't know what to do because I've had enough go wrong already and I can handle any more problems. 7 surgeries and over a month in the hospital and almost dying, I need something to go right. Any suggestions??????
  14. Elpa this was bypass
  15. As of right now I would not get the surgery again but I'm sure in a few months I would say different. It's been very rough and very depressing. My worst thing is dealing with lower back pain from laying in a hospital bed for a month.
  16. An I take a midol???
  17. Well my surgery was a disaster. 7 surgeries, week in ICU and 1 month in the hospital. Almost died. Had the bypass, came home and after 1 day I had a twisted bowel. That turned into a leak and massive infection. I've been home for two weeks now and just started to feel a little better. Got my staples ( they had to gut me like a fish) out and took out my home feeding tube. This is not what I signed up for. I'm the 1%
  18. Virginia hospital center in Arlington VA. Great hospital. They saved my life
  19. Made me cry. Thanks for the words of encouragement. I already have depression and anxiety. It sucks. Hope you feel better too
  20. Ad my surgery on June 26th. On June 28th I was rushed back to hospital and ended up having a twisted bowel. That turned into leaks and 7 surgeries later spent 1 week in ICU. I'm the 1% this happens to. I spent a month in the hospital. Have an appt with my dr tomorrow to hopefully get my 30+ staples out ( they gut me like a fish) and hopefully he will take out my feeding tube. I never thought this would happen. I know I will be happy eventually but my days are pretty depressing. Not saying don't get the surgery, just venting and letting y'all know what can really happen. I almost died for this
  21. Pik~~ I had my bypass Thursday and I also had my days that I was terrified. Don't give up on it. I'm only 1 full day home post op but I'm glad I did it. They also found a huge hiatal hernia on me as well. The recovery will take longer but better to have it done all at once. You can do it
  22. How the hell ca. I get any water intake? I'm do busy trying to get enough protein.
  23. My on call doc finally called. The watery bm is ok.
  24. Jeez. How much air do they pump in you. My shoulders and neck are always hurting since surgery Thursday. Any ideas when that shit stops
