May i suggest going to see Dr Tresegni at Bay Bariatric in Coos Bay. It is a center if excellence. He was been there for 15 years and it combined with the new facilities at the hospital specializing in bariatrics it is worth the drive to the coast.i talked to many many people and i never heard a complaint, my experience was uneventful with wonderful care. -

I'm 53 and was 300lbs. When my knees began to deteriorate and every step was painful I did bypass. I am know going to work with Ortho doc to manage situation to get the wait off and see what my next step is. I am 4 weeks post op today and doing well except for my knees. -
Eating too much too soon?
lisad97411 replied to BobbieND's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It was suggested that I eat and drink out if 3 ounce containers so I don't overheat. I go 3oz cups from Walmart since I don't have a full switch and am not good at portion control this is working well. -

Not a headache but I was starving. I think it is harder pre op when you have a big tummy then after.

Eating too much too soon?
lisad97411 replied to BobbieND's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
On the recommendation of my Dr.s office I eat and drink everything out of 3 ounce paper cuts. I have been collecting small containers to use instead. That way I don't over eat or drink at any one time. -

Yes the liquids count for both protein and fluids per my doc. -
My goal is 80-100 per surgeon at least for the first 8weeks. I'll know more after my next check in.
