  2. May i suggest going to see Dr Tresegni at Bay Bariatric in Coos Bay. It is a center if excellence. He was been there for 15 years and it combined with the new facilities at the hospital specializing in bariatrics it is worth the drive to the coast.i talked to many many people and i never heard a complaint, my experience was uneventful with wonderful care.
  3. I'm 53 and was 300lbs. When my knees began to deteriorate and every step was painful I did bypass. I am know going to work with Ortho doc to manage situation to get the wait off and see what my next step is. I am 4 weeks post op today and doing well except for my knees.
  4. It was suggested that I eat and drink out if 3 ounce containers so I don't overheat. I go 3oz cups from Walmart since I don't have a full switch and am not good at portion control this is working well.
  5. Misty i imagine you are just beside yourself. Don't feel pressured do what you need to of for you and what your mom would want for you..hug
  6. I am in the same place as far as stalling..frustrating
  7. Not a headache but I was starving. I think it is harder pre op when you have a big tummy then after.
  8. On the recommendation of my Dr.s office I eat and drink everything out of 3 ounce paper cuts. I have been collecting small containers to use instead. That way I don't over eat or drink at any one time.
  9. Cooked and puréed fresh peaches 1oz and 2 oz of cottage cheese..only protein shakes it tastes like heaven.

  17. I am fighting the problem in my knees. It was managed with anti inflammatories but am now using ice and the least amount of Vicodin I can take to be comfortable. I am hoping as the weight comes off this will get better. I am frustrated because I can't walk as much as I want to.
  18. I purchased different kinds os 3/4 oz bell jars, plastic containers, custard cups and 3 ounce paper cups. On the suggestion of the centers support person everything I eat or drink is from one of these containers and I use a baby spoon. This way you visually see what 3 oz looks like and you will not over eat as you learn portion control. My goal is to build a collection of cute little cups, saucers and little dishes for just me...
