Had a pain in the right side of my chest yesterday from about 3:30-7:00. Then it just felt like pull twinge. It did scare me and was concerned I would have to go to the ER. I layed in bed for an hour or so. I can't find my blood pressure monitor I recently bought. Once the pain went away I started feeling like myself and going up and down the stairs, cleaning up and getting ready for today. Last night I didn't think I would be able to go to work today but I felt fine when I got up and here I am. I do have an appointment for an echo today. I will call and make another appt with my primary doctor so I can get some blood work done. Ok Done appt for Monday. I have lovely restriction this morning. I took my meds around 7 and spit for about 15 minutes. Now I have hot oatmeal and that is not going down. I will stop eating now. I have grape juice after the sliming stops and my band opens a little. Also, have trail mix. Yesterday, I was a slow eating pig. 4 nuggets, 1/2 double cheeseburger 1 bun, insides of a meat burrito. Dinner was greens, bite of baked chicken, scalloped potatoes (which go down very well).

  8. :director:Shout out how much you have lost or your surgery date. Come on your lurkers.....
  9. Your lunch hour walk sounds great. Pick a destination to walk to even if it is just 1 block away. Set mini goals and before you know it the big ones will be here. What are your snack weaknesses? Maybe we can give some substitutes.
  10. Hey Housecat that sounds like a good idea, soup. I have my own version but it is still less calories then if I ate some other stuff. Thanks for the reminder.
  11. WOW you deserve a big CONGRATULATIONS on all of that. You go girl!!!!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:
  12. Let go of that face and check your mail at home.
  13. Welcome aboard Cheldex. Good Luck this time. Exercise is Key!!!
  14. of course we have bandedshopgirl, but it is not pretty. It even hurts sometimes. There is not where for the bubbles to go.
  15. Keep your head up pre panders. I like to say "live like your are banded" until you can get yours. Keep on top of your doctors and insurance companies about where is your paper work. They have a tendency to lose things.

Thanks KariK, we will both be the chubby cheerleaders for now. LOL I know I have built muscle in my quad and hamstrings because it doesn't burn anymore when I go up the stairs. LOL
  17. Sweetsue I am so sorry you are able to eat everything but because you can you don't have to. You can eat everything until you get some restriction and like Barbra said it may take a few fills. So to help it along take a page out of MimiIN books and go for a walk and think about your goals. For now put yourself on that diet, a low carb diet, a shake for Breakfast, cheesestick, nuts for Snacks, a nice big salad with meat for lunch and so on. Stay away from the sugar and flour...carbs. Don't forget to have some sugar free fudgesicles, popsicles, pudding at home for those days you just can't eat enough. Are you getting all 64oz of Water in? You have a band, so live like it. Do you really want a kick in the pants?
  18. WHAT I did something right???!!!! Oh yeah I got a band. I can't eat everything so I have to find something else to do. Planning the food for the house warming is a trip. I want healthy but I want good. I don't want to over do it with the food because that is not suppose to be the focus or is it. I don't know. I will make sure I have a slim fast there for you.
  19. Where are you? I know this is the MD board but that is where you are from. I'm sorry to hear about your hip. But don't think for one minute that you can't exercise. Work those arms, you can work up a sweat dancing with your arms in the air in the chair. LOL Also, resistance bands or dumbells or soup cans, start pumping 1, 2, 3, come on. I bet you will lift that microphone.
  20. LOL I wasn't talking about you.....ONLY......there are others...... Yeah girl I'm pumped I just wish someone would put my tennis shoes on me, pull me to the car, and pull me around a track or something.
  21. Like yeah!! I could look like that if I had a million bucks. Having a hair dresser and make up artist follwing you around, yeahh. She don't know how to walk in heels. Her shoes are for sitting only. LOL Did you see her when Bono was there. Her jeans did not fit right and her shoes were too pointy and she coudn't walk. Whoever dressed her that day need to be poked in the eye.
  22. LOL I think I fell in love with her because she was a confident, fat, black woman. LOL I remember when she could wear the heck out of a scarf. LOL Now she seems to have forgotten about the fat people. Oh I just love these jeans, bras, dresses all designer who don't go over a size 10. Where were the for real fat people on the bra and jean makeover. HELLO
  23. Don't let it stress you, your body has to adjust to so many things going on. Are you exercising?
