    ThickchickTEXAS was successfully banded March 5. :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: She just says to tell everyone she is doing well. She came home yesterday and is tired. She said it felt like someone punched her in the belly but that's all. Congratulations to all you March Bandsters!!!!

  6. I love Obama and I love Hillary but there a lot of people who don't want to see a woman or a black man in office. Unfortuately I think it will be a Republican win if either one is choosen to run for the Democratic office. I also believe Obama needs more experience. I think he was kinda pressured into throwing in his hat. Still love them both.

    MorningFuneral I miss you. Please call me. No it does not sounds nuts to have another surgery. It is done on a regular basis. Everyone is diffrent and we have to choose what is best for each individual. I am 100% behind you in whatever you choose to do. OK Head up...That's An Order!!! Life is beating you right now and it is hard so lean on us. That is what we are here for.

    Jennifur yeah 84 pounds is great but I have been banded for 1 year and 7 months. I wanted to further along then this but I see what I have been doing wrong and I can and will correct it. wlgbean it is great to keep a chart of your weigh ins at least monthly so you can look back when necessary to see where you have been and where you are going. Keep a some type of log or journal it is reall helpful.

    The port area is going to be sensitive for a very long times, I mean months. As far as sharp pain a month later, let your doctor know. Are still taking some pain meds? Liquid Tylenol was good to me.

    I had 209 pounds to lose and have lost 84pounds so far. Now only 125 to go. WOOHOOO It can be done. Some just do it faster then others. Good Luck dear in your endeavor. Tasha do stick around because this is a great board for support.

    It is not always easy to lose weight but I believe that each one of us is winning the battle. We are putting in daily thought on food and exercise. We are falling off the wagon but most importanly not staying on the ground and crying.:clap2: This IS Getting Ready for Spring BootCamp which was a goal setter and to stay motivated through the cold months. This thread has successfully kept us ahead of the game. If you lose some weight in the process WOHOOO if you did not, still WOOHOOO because you didn't give up.:clap2: We are here to stay focused on the long term goal, everyone's goals are different but the same. I have found that in life it is easier to make short term goals (a plan) to reach that long term goal (goal weight). We have 19 Days until the first calendar day of Spring March 21, 2007.:clap2: Thank you guys for hanging in here with me. It has been a real test for me but I for one am going to kick it up a notch for the rest of this challenge.:clap2:

    New Day Friday

    Too many people have been talking about bacon. So what do I have this morning. Bacon and scrambled eggs. I have eaten 1 strip and about 2 forks of eggs and I'm almost stuck. I think that's enough until later. I wish I had put my pedometer on first thing this morning because I was up and down the stairs and running around to fix my breakfast and lunch and get dressed. Whewww

Oh yeah good job on those cookies, I know the feeling my daughter was a daisy and brownie for a few years and she was the top seller for 3 years and you wanna know why I'm so big. Hu Tann Thanks, I will try to cut back on my carbs and my overall intake. Avilla great job, thanks for the informtion on the vitamins. I know you son is tickled pink ok purple he's a boy. Josettte great job you go girl. I'm going to be able to swing you even faster now.

    1) I will do no less then 30 min exercise daily (YES) 2) I will drink 64 oz water daily (YES and more) 3) I will not have any fast food (had a frosty) 4) I will have protein drink for breakfast (TODAY) Got my 10,000 steps in

    Turner24 I am so sorry. I hate dealing with car problems also. Ok that was one sleeve so is the plan to eat the other one today? See how many calories you are taking just to be informed. 3500 calories is 1 pound. While karate is going on does that mean you walk in place or walk around or have some hand weights with you. Every little bit counts. Excellent job on the stairs, keep it up...and down. Tann you are working it and you are such an inspiration. It is wonderful to know what the body can do. I look at mine and I think there is no way that is going anywhere. Seeing you go from 421 to 277 in no time...WOW at least I KNOW it CAN be done.

    I did get my 10,000 steps in and it was not easy easy. I had about 100 to go before bed so I'm stomping around with my daughter and then realized I did not put the pedometer back on. Duhhhh so I gave it to her and told her to get it. LOL I walked in place with her and even ran as I did when I did not have it on. LOL so it said 10,130 something but I know it was more. LOL What did I eat. Baked potato, 1/2 porkchop, baked chicken, string beans I messed up I did have ice cream yesterday. Today B- slimfast 190 S- chicken thigh L-wendy nuggets/frosty 520 D-Salad, fish, biscuit(2) Oh goodness this school meeting has thrown me all off. Stressed out eating, haven't gotten my steps in or my water. Ony 2427 steps Water all 8 cups Only did about 6,000 steps yesterday
