  1. Boo Boo Kity You look so beautiful!! I would love to see that pic at the top. Your pic is 1 million times better than the frisky boob touching apple girl! :purplebananna:
  2. Thanks Bamboobabe! Do you still want my appointment on the 24th if I can get mine moved up to Jonathan's appt? If so, PM me with your name and I will ask them to put your name in my place.
  3. Hi Rose! 50 lbs is wonderful! Congrats on your success! What a nice Christmas present for you and your daughter. Good luck to both of you!
  4. Welcome Carla! It's nice to meet you. You seem to have a lot of drive and determination, so I have no doubt you will get to your goal. You said you've had a hard time with your band, have you had any complications?
  5. Oh, I forgot to mention, there is a whole forum for PCOS. There is a lot of good info on there. Here's the link if you want to check it out PCOS Bandsters - Lap Band Talk Forum - The largest forum for Lap Band Surgery Discussion and Lap Band Surgery Support
  6. Hi Melissa! I have PCOS too and I have to tell you, this is the best decision I've ever made! I too tried to lose weight by just dieting and exercise and it worked many times. The problem is, I gained it all back plus more every time. It's been a decade of yo-yo dieting for me. The band is the only thing that has worked for me. I'm just starting to feel energetic again and it feels great. Good luck to you and I wish you the best!
  7. Welcome to LBT Mozart! Congrats on your surgery. I'm glad to hear you are doing well. I've lost about 76 lbs so far and I've just gotten to the point where I can exercise again and I feel great! It feels really good to be active again. I wish you the best of luck on your lapband journey!
  8. Hi Noela! Welcome to LBT and congratulations on your surgery. I'm glad to hear you are doing well. Good luck to you and it was very nice to meet you!
  9. Hi Sue, welcome to LBT!! Congratulations on your success. This is a wonderful place for information and support. Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing you around. Good luck!
  10. Thank you Jonathan!! When you call, will you ask them to pencil in my named. I will still call and I'm not sure if they will even do that but it would be nice to have it saved if possible. Thanks again, I really appreciate it!
  11. WHOA!!!!! You look awesome!!!! I am so happy for you!! I hope I have the confidence to do something like that when I reach my goal!! You look great and I'm looking forward to seeing more pics!
  12. That's a good one, classic!!! "Low" by Flo Rida is a good one too (you know, apple bottom jeans, boots with the fur........)! It's funny, my 17 year old niece got me listening to that one and now I love it. I love all kinds of music........country, rock, rap, pop, gospel......I love it all!
  13. Please don't worry about scaring people off. I look at your story as an inspiration. You seem like you have a lot of drive in you and I know you will succeed with your band. You never know who may NEED to hear your story, for whatever reason. Again, thanks for sharing and good luck to you on your lapband journey.
  14. Well I've had a bad weekend with food too! I guess I'm having "last meal" syndrome, lol! Well, Monday is a new day and I'm excited too! I'll just have to eat what I can get here too! I just don't want to drive a long way from home to get groceries! That would get pretty old! What do you think about the book? It makes a lot of sense to me and I think the authors are very educated about PCOS and the symptoms that come with it.
  15. Welcome Kas-e! Congrats on your surgery date. Susan made a good point, if you are not already exercising, try adding it in and hopefully you will drop enough weight to keep your scheduled date. Good luck to you and keep us posted!
  16. I know you said you have been lurking for a while, but I would like to officially welcome you to LBT. Congratulations on your surgery date! Please let us know if you have any questions. Good luck to you and keep us posted!
  17. Turler Wow, what in inspirational story! With all you have gone through, it's just amazing. Many people would have given up but you are still fighting to get your health back. About 5 years ago I was having some "bathroom" problems so I went to a gastroenterologist and he decided to do a colonoscopy on me (since my mother is a colon cancer survivor). Well I had a polyp that they removed. When the biopsy came back, he said it was a precancerous polyp. His guess was, that in another year, it would have turned into cancer. To think that I almost overlooked the problem thinking it was probably hemorrhoids or something. Your story really touched me, thank you for sharing it!
  18. Starryeyed That is great! I can't wait until I reach my halfway point! Keep up the great work and you'll be at goal in no time!!
  19. Thank you Renewed! I am trying to get a fill next week, so that may mess up the diet plan a little because I will be on liquids for a few days if I get the fill. No biggie though, I'm still gonna start on Monday as originally planned and take it from there. I'm excited about this and I hope it helps us both. Keep up the good work girl! Oh, good luck with your challenge! I hope you win!
  20. Hope you like it! Let us know how it turns out!
  21. Oneder Woman I am glad things went well with your father. Hopefully your mother will be supportive too. If she expresses concern about the surgery, just go over the facts and explain to her what exactly will happen. People often freak out when they hear the words "weight loss surgery". Hopefully once she hears the details, she will be happy for you. Hope everything works out with your mother and let us know how things are going.
  22. Glad your trip went well and you found what you were looking for! I have felt restriction many times but it seems to fade everytime. I really thought my last fill was "the one" but it has faded too. I feel a little restriction every now and then but I am looking forward to getting another one. I hope to get Jonathan's appt on the 10th. I am glad you are feeling restriction and things are going well for you. Glad you're back!
  23. Hi Jamie, nice to meet you! Congrats on your surgery and good luck to you!
  24. Sounds good ladies! Thanks for sharing, can't wait to try them!
  25. I've never seen it at my local grocery store, but it could be because I've never actually looked specifically for it. I'll look next time I go!
