  1. Hey guys! I haven't ran in a few weeks, but I am going to the gym in the morning after I drop DS off at preschool. I don't know where I am going to pick up at yet, maybe week 2? Last time I posted, they added 2 whole cc's of fluid and I could barely swallow my spit! I went back and they took 1 cc out. The next day I barely felt any restriction! I'm wishing I had stuck it out. I go back Monday and they will measure again. Hopefully I will know more then. Hope everyone is doing good. Seems like this thread is dying down.
  2. I agree, Tracy looked really good! Honestly, I didn't really care who went home last night. I'm not a fan of either of them. Liz gets on my nerves about as much as Tracy, so either way was a win-win situation for me. I would have voted Liz off, she's the bigger threat! I went to the nbc biggest loser website and saw that Jillian is doing casting calls for her new show called "Losing It with Jillian Michaels". She comes to your house and moves in with you!! Sounds really interesting!!
  3. If I were them, I would've sent Daniel home too! Daniel has all the tools and knowledge to finish at home. I can also see where they have a hard time making someone stay who wants to be sent home though. I get soooo mad at these people for not fighting to stay! What's up with all the self-sacrificing this season?? Abby's story gets to me too. What a strong woman- to keep going on the way she does! I was happy to see the black team win challenge for a change!
  4. Thanks Kathy. I am a little worried about it. Right now I am kinda miserable. They added 2 cc of fluid yesterday and, I am really tight right now. Had to sleep in the recliner last night. I go back in 2 weeks for them to measure again. I guess it's still considered a slow leak because he wasn't sure it would show up on the x-ray. I guess if enough is missing in 2 weeks, then they will do the x-ray. I don't know though. I'm not looking forward to surgery, but I am ready to get it fixed so I can finish what I started. I wish they had done something about it a year ago, when I told them that I wasn't able to keep restriction longer than a couple of weeks. It's soooo frustrating! Anyway, I'll keep ya'll updated. Hope everyone has a great day!! Good luck Suzanne! I hope everything is okay.
  5. Welcome jlray and coloradochick! Happy ya'll could join us!! I have had a super busy week! I have not ran in over a week and I won't be able to tomorrow either. I will start back Monday. I plan on doing week 3 again since I missed a week. I am going to get another fill Monday and we'll see if I am missing any fluid this time. I'm sick of not being able to keep restriction!!
  6. No, the one I was talking about was made with butternut squash. Here's the recipe. Bake-Tastic Butternut Squash Fries Ingredients: -1 medium butternut squash (about 2 lbs- large enough to yield 20 ounces uncooked fresh) -1/8 teaspoon Kosher salt -cooking spray -optional: spices of your choice- garlic powder, etc. Directions: Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Use a sharp knife to remove ends of the squash. Cut squash in half widthwise and then peel squash halves using vegetable peeler or knife. Cut squash in half lengthwise and then scoop out all seeds. Next, cut squash into french fry shapes. Using a paper towel, pat squash pieces firmly to absorb any excess moisture. Place squash in bowl, add a light mist of cooking spray, and sprinkle with salt and other spices of your choice. Toss squash to evenly cot and then transfer to large baking pan sprayed with nonstick spray. Use 2 pans if needed. Squash pieces should lie flat in the pan. Place pans in oven and bake for 40 min (or longer for thick cut fries), flipping halfway through baking. Fries are done when they are starting to brown on the edges and get crispy. Makes 2 servings Per serving (1/2 of recipe): 125 cal, <0.5g fat, 158mg sodium, 33g carbs, 3g fiber, 6g sugar, 3g Protein
  7. Never thought of using green Beans, but it sounds pretty good. I can't tolerate french fries either! It's like the only food I cannot eat! I bought the Hungry Girl cookbook a while back, and there is a recipe for baked french "fries" using butternut squash. I haven't tried it yet, but I think I will. Sounds pretty good.
  8. Luu...congratulation! That is great! Suzanne...sorry about the foot. Kathy...sounds like you have fun golfing! Glad DH is better. Oh, and thanks for the cyber kick! I did run today. I did week 3 again and I'm so glad I got my butt back in gear! My legs are burning, but I did it!
  9. She wasn't allowed to do anything at first, but it showed a clip of her in the pool, so I assume she is swimming now. I dunno though.
  10. She is able to swim and swimming burns MAJOR calories. They hardly ever show anyone in the pool, unless they are injured. I would think they would make swimming a part of their regular routine...
  11. WOW, didn't see that coming! I thought for sure Tracy would be gone... Did anyone else catch the comment Coach Mo made about not knowing that there was prize money for winning TBL?? If he has EVER watched TBL, he had to know about the prize money! I find that VERY hard to believe!! But, he did throw himself under the bus tonight, so who knows? I wanted to reach through the TV and slap him for doing that! I don't get it! He must have been under Tracys spell! LOL GO BLACK!! Jillian always gets the underdogs and they always seem to come out on top!
  12. Me too! Alli looks GREAT!! She looks HEALTHY too! They usually look too thin at the finale, so I'm glad that some gain a little back.
  13. I need the kick now, Kristen! I haven't ran since Friday and I feel soooo sluggish. My eating has been terrible too! I will try and run tomorrow!
  14. Didn't get to do anything yesterday. My sister's step-son had emergency surgery yesterday. He had his appendix removed, so spend most of the afternoon at the hospital. Today, week 3 of couch to 5k and arm strength training
  15. Hey Kristen! Welcome back! **cyber kick**....okay, there's your kick, lol. We all need a little kick from time to time. Glad you are getting back at it. Good to hear from you and make sure you keep posting! My sister was unable to jog yesterday or today, so I went to the Y and did week 3 on the treadmill. I did the same thing I did last time...ran right through the cool down, lol! Oh well, I ran an extra 4+ minutes! How is everyone else doing?
  16. I still like Daniel too, it just bugs me in general when people lie, even when they are caught in one. Green team is my favorite right now and orange falls next. My favorites have been know to change throughout the season though, so we'll see...
  17. That's great Canoie! Keep it up!!
  18. I think I am taking today off. I was completely drained yesterday. I'm sure running outside in the 100% humidity is the main reason. I will try to do some arm exercises later and maybe a few pilates moves.
  19. I am the same way with workouts...if I'm not working out, I don't lose, no matter how good I eat! It sucks!
  20. Why must the game players insist on lying about it. It's obvious that Daniel Water loaded or intentionly ate more so he wouldn't lose weight. I understand it's a game, but why did he try to weasel his way out of it by acting "oh so shocked". Geeez! I am really liking the green team right now. Pink isn't bothering me yet. That may change, but I guess I'm not seeing what everyone else is right now.
  21. Hey LilMiss! Glad you are joining in! How is weight watchers going? Looks like you are doing great with the exercising!
  22. Today: Week 2 of c25k again. Man, I'm beat today. No running tomorrow, my legs ache too bad. I'll probably go the gym and do strength training.
  23. I can't wait to see what happens this week. I'm interested to see how everyone treats Tracey this week. I didn't really like her from the start. Although I don't like all the game play crap, I'm with Manatee....the least she could do is own up to it.
  24. Hey everyone! I am still chuggin' along, lol. Still on week 2. I am finding it much easier this time around. I feel like I'm ready to move on, but my sister is struggling a little, so I'm gonna wait it out with her. I'm so glad I have someone to do this with. Makes it much more fun! I am very proud of her too! At this pace, I'm not sure we will be able to run the full 5k in December. I'm okay with that though. There is another one close by in Feb. or March. I wanted to beat my time, but I'm not going to stress over it. I will get there.
  25. Hey Maggie! I am on week 2 of the couch to 5k too! I've been through the program before and it really works. I am doing the c25k with my sister this time. I am finding that this time around is a lot easier than the first time. Congrats on your workouts! That's great!
