  1. I would love to train with either as well, especially Jillian. I'm sure that would be a workout I wouldn't forget, lol. I've thought about doing the trainer thing at the YMCA, but I don't think I could afford it right now. I would love to have someone to answer to....that would be great motivation.
  2. I ran today. Did a 5K...well, I ran most of it. Took me about 40 minutes. I'm totally wiped!! Not sure what I will do tomorrow yet....
  3. Whosya~ LMBO at your "subliminal" message! LOL. Nice picture...you are looking pretty hot yourself!! Renewed~ OMGosh...A 10K! You go!! I'm wishing you lots of luck tomorrow. Turler~ I think the treadmill is best to start with too. Like I said, don't worry about your speed. You could start at 4.0 mph or lower if you need to. I've been running for a little while now and I probably only run at 4.5 mph. Good luck!! Well, the bottom of my running shoes are black, but I found a small white space on both shoes and wrote "cancer" on them with a fine point sharpie. I love that idea and it really worked. I thought of it when I wanted to quit today and it kept me going. I did a whole 5k today. Still did not run the whole thing, but I did finish in about 40 minutes. I feel like I should be running the whole thing by now. I know I could probably go farther on the treadmill, but the walk trail is hilly in several spots, so I'm sure that makes a difference. I'm just ready to run the whole thing darn it!!
  4. SillyGoose~ I just saw in your signature that you have been smoke free for 6 days, 15 hours. Congrats and good for you!!
  5. You are right....wishful thinking I guess, lol. I get orange guy and brown guy mixed up. I don't really like either one, but I do really like Heba! Brown girl...not so much.
  6. I'm with ya'll on Jillians team. Purple girl got on my last nerve! If I had to pick a favorite from Jillians team, I would say Colleen (yellow girl). And from Bob's team...Heba (just by a slight margin over the red team). I haven't liked brown from the beginning, so I wasn't disappointed when he left. Can't wait to see what twist happens next week, lol. I wonder if they are going to split everyone up or switch trainers on them???
  7. Thanks for all you do for us Alex!! Have a wonderful birthday!!
  8. WTG Kathy!! Wonderful!! Sounds like ya'll are having a wonderful day. Wish your hubby happy birthday for me! I am feeling a tad under the weather today (sinus junk), but I am still going to run. I can't afford to miss a run day if I want to be ready for the 5K.
  9. Positive for me today: I'm very proud of myself for staying on track yesterday!! It motivates me to do it again today.
  10. WOW, you look great!! Congrats!!
  11. WTG Renewed!!
  12. Renewed~ Have a great day!! Fanny~ Welcome back! Sounds like you are doing fantastic!! Just be careful and don't over do it! Glad to have you back! Turler~ Very cool shoes! I'm gonna have to get a new pair around Christmas. Do they have the nike+ system chip?? I started out running outside, then switched to the treadmil, mainly because it was so flippin' hot here. I just recently switched back to running outside and I love it! The weather has been really nice here in the evenings. I find the treadmil to be boring after running outside. Don't worry about speed. Go as slow as you need to go. I don't run very fast. I focus more on endurance for now. Good luck to you!
  13. Thanks Apples! I don't really have many before pictures. When I saw that one, I was shocked! I don't even remember looking like that, lol. Anyway, thanks!
  14. abc~ Congrats! Glad the scale was your friend this time. Share your secret because I think mine is mad at me
  15. I still may go to the meeting....just not 100% sure yet. TOM really takes a toll on me too. The craving are INSANE!! I crave sweets non-stop until TOM leaves. I hate it!! shake it off, tomorrow is a new day!!
  16. I didn't do much today....just some ab exercises. Tomorrow is my run day!
  17. I have noticed that sometimes after I run, I am tighter than usual. Maybe I should start running everyday???? Welcome Turler!! Cancer has probably affected all us in some way or another. It's so inspiring to hear survivor stories like yours. I was telling DH the other day that after my 5k next month, I wanted to try and find one that was for a good cause, like cancer. Running IS very liberating for me and I've come to love it!! So jump in, the first run is always to hardest. Leslie~ I'm getting nervous too!! The important thing is that we finish!! We can improve our time and pace later. We can do it!!
  18. It starts at 7:00. I'm not sure if I'm going to make it either. We'll see...
  19. Renewed~ Yikes! Hope you feel better soon! And yes, I will update this group as well. You're going to look drop dead GORGEOUS!! Kathy~ Your little angels are adorable! Congrats on the clothes! I'm sure you are going to be quite the hottie in the work place!! Whosya~ You are such a great supporter!! And you inspire us a just a tiny bit too, lol!! YOU rock!!
  20. Hey onder woman!! How are you??? Yeah, I don't get on here NEAR as much as I used to, but I still check in quite frequently. I used to be pretty darn addicted, lol. Who's going to the monthly support group meeting next Thursday??
  21. Where is everyone??? I feel like our crew is dwindling down....
  22. Thank you! I feel pretty sassy too, lol! LOL. I haven't thought about it like that. Thank you Leslie!
  23. Great job Renewed!! You are kickin' butt!! I haven't done anything yet today, but I will do something this evening...probably strength training.
  24. aclubb~ Gatorade makes a drink called G2. It has less calories than regular gatorade. I've tasted it before and it was pretty good. I feel like I'm not hydrated enough sometimes too. I don't carry water with me when I run outside. I just need to focus on drinking more thoughout the day...it's always been a issue for me.
  25. Great suggestion Whosya! My mom is a colon cancer survivor, so that hits close to home for me. That was a scary time for our family. I am definitely going to do that.
