Hi we're still here!! I had surgery 07/24 and I've lost 70lbs overall, this includes the 17 I lost during pre-op. I have stalled and I'm hovering in the 260's. I'm planning on starting a low carb lifestyle, I've tried Paleo before and it worked, so hopefully this will get the scale moving again. Do you have any specific questions or concerns? I'll try to answer as best as I can.

Thanks I'm a slower 'loser' I'm down 45lbs overall. I'm happy with that though because I'm hoping I won't have as much saggy skin if I lose at a moderate pace. Good luck with your surgery.

I was sleeved on 07/24 and my energy level was in the dumps and I was tired all the time....why? Because my Protein intake was non-existent and the liquid multi-vitamins taste like crap!! I got the Chobani flip low fat Greek yogurt and Gummy vites today. After eating the yogurt n the vites with 30 mins I could feel the difference....I didn't feel as tired and I had energy. Even though there was only 12g of protein in the yogurt it made a difference...tomorrow I start mushy foods so I'll hopefully be getting most of my protein through my food.
Good luck....try some Greek yogurt for an energy boost....I'm not fond of Protein Shake any longer(premiere protein vanilla and various flavors of Isopure) but I'm going to try mixing the premier with fruits and see if that works out. I also ordered the sample pack of unjury(recommended by another member) I'll see how that works out. Good luck!!

I think the focus should not be only the scale but also non-scale victories NSVs....I fit xyz better, I'm able to A longer, etc. also remember you may not be losing weight but you may be losing inches. Take measurements and do comparisons. Also I think slower weightloss helps with your skin elasticity and having less sagging skin. Be positive the surgeries work and you're doing your part....it will all fall in place!!

15 months out here and still the only person who knows is my husband. People are just judgemental by nature. They can act all supportive in front of your face but some/many are entirely different when you are not there. Just didn't want to deal with it. So glad that I made this choice it has worked out best for me. Don't regret it for a minute.

Sorry for not posting more often. Trying to get my son to let me use his computer is not an easy task lol. Well I am back to doing exercises and with a vengeance...I'm doing an hour on the treadmill almost daily now. Between running and walking. On the days I'm too tired I do 30minutes. and I don't skip two days in a row without exercise. It has made a difference. The scale is now at 215 however the clothes feel a lot looser. For some reason I'm afraid to eat regular foods like chicken etc.. I'm still kind of eating soft foods or stuff I can chew and make it soft. I'm fine with this for now. I'm hating that some of my coworkers watch everything I put in my mouth, all of a sudden they've become experts on what I should eat and shouldn't eat, they watch what I eat all the time and ask how much have I lost all the time. So I tell them I can eat whatever I want just not as much as I used to and that I don't weight myself anymore daily which is the truth. I still have some of my "skinny clothes" that I never got rid of. Lots of jeans and cute shirts so I have been trying them. The jeans come up my hips now but I still can't zip them up but Im getting there. I made a mini goal to be in onederland by my birthday at the end of July. I'm feeling good about myself again. Make up is back out...and Im paying more attention to myself. I love my sleeve, I do not regret this one bit. My scars are red and I don't like them much but they are small. I need to find me a cream or something that can make them fade a little. Any suggestions? Well guys this is it for now. xoxoxox

I will piggy back Bella and Megan and say all of this is likely a result of insecurity from your affair. Losing weight does mean we become more attractive physically to others. Other men will start noticing you, and perhaps he is seeing you're becoming more attractive.
My husband and I have been married going on 19 years and what has kept us together all of this time is communication. You MUST communicate with each other your needs, your concerns and how you're feeling about the relationship at all times, no matter how much the truth hurts. Do not let feelings fester because they start turning into resentment.
You need to have a one on one with your husband. Don't turn it into an argument and don't be defensive. If you love him, let him air his grievance and move forward together. You might need to comfort him and assure him that no matter what you will never do anything untrustworthy again if that is what the problem turns out to be. I'm only guessing, as are any of us - even yourself. That's why it's better to get it from the horse's mouth.
One last thing, make sure you are approaching him at a good time, no distractions - and do not talk to him if either of you are hungry. It sounds funny but it's the truth!

Keep your secrets. It is no one's business but your own. I would certainly wait and see if you are even still together in a month or two. You may have a different view then.
As far as eating out, tell him you are dieting and would prefer to do other things than eat a meal while you get to know each other.
Scars: don't say anything and don't worry about them. It is highly doubtful that will even catch his eye if you naked LOL. They are quite small an fade well.

That's what I'm scared of!! I was previously approved for the band but then I changed to sleeve. I did only four months of visits so I'm not sure if that'll be a deterrent...I'm going to keep praying and stay positive!! I'll jump through the hoops, I'm tired of being this way.

By the time I was through the surgery and into mushy phase, I couldn't stomach any more shakes. I advise not to stock up too much, even with a flavor or type you like.......once I could get solid Protein or even mushy protein down, I haven't had maybe but a few shakes since. I will say you should start to experiment with Quest Protein Bar flavors because they have been my go to since surgery.......

A lot of people like Premier Protein shakes and Pure Protein Shakes.< /p>
    Where to buy Premier Protein:
    http://www.premierprotein.com/where-to-buy/
You can find Pure Protein in brick and mortar stores (Trader Joe's, Kroger, Costco) but they probably have better selection online. I think bodybuilding.com probably has the best selection and prices:

honestly I am not crazy about any of the RTD stuff but Pure Protein was my favorite of what I did try.
