    Veggies?

Can't have any yet but I'll go with cauliflower and make some cauliflower mock mashed potatoes.

    May 27th Surgery Date

Hey there...always glad to know we're never alone. I am doing ok, reading the posts I keep thinking myself lucky as I had no real big pains. And, I hope that you are doing well. Know this is going to be a big big change in our lives. Had my 1 week check up and the Doc was happy and moved me to soft foods so need to do some good thoughts as to not get too bored. I struggle to get in all my fluids so I need to get better on that. Keep me posted.
  3. Had my 1 week check up - Doc is happy said everything is looking good and I can go to soft foods for two weeks. Jeans are getting looser good thing I have a few in the closet that are a size smaller. Today I made some pudding but instead of milk I used my premier Protein drink as the milk..can't say it was great but it wasn't bad either so I get two for 1.
  4. GNC also has the powered peanut butter....one of the gents in the office uses it never thought about until I saw it here so it's going to be a must for protein shakes to keep things interesting
  5. By the time the 4th of July rolls around I'll be on all real foods so this will be something that I'll need to watch I know. Thinking for sugar I'll look over some of George Stella Low Carb recipes know my grandkids won't know the difference if it's already made.
  6. Think I will be picking up some PB2 today...thanks for the tip.

    Terrible hair Loss

Having gone through Chemo one of the things my acupuncture doctor had me do was to massage fresh ginger on my scalp so it would open up the pores. So, doing this now to help prevent any loss.

    May 28-31st Sleeve Week!

4 days out...Today was my first day out of the house (no I didn't drive yet), took a pillow to keep over the belly just incase it was needed for all the bumps in the road. Packed up 2 protein drinks, water and my breathing machine because we took the long drive to the beach. Stopped for lunch - I had soup and hubby had a turkey sandwich. One thing for sure is that my being sleeved is helping folks around me to eat slower .

    May 28-31st Sleeve Week!

I was sleeved May 27th, had no real big pain/gas but my left shoulder was extremely sore - which they said to expect. They gave me couple of heat packs to use and that helped allot. They kept me on IV the 27th and morning of the 28th. But I did get up to walk allot.
  10. Thank you both for your replies...
  11. I believe that this is part of the healing process - correct?
  12. Nervous and excited all at the same time.
