I usually do not offer it up but everyone wants to know how I lost my weight, and that is when it comes out.

For the first time in probably about five years I am under 200 pounds! That is a good feeling for sure!
The strange thing is that I know my clothes don't fit anymore and everything is loose on me. I have to keep going down in sizes.
When I look at myself, I can see it a little, but looking at my stomach, it almost looks the same. I know it isn't...it can't be!
My face is back to looking thin, and that is nice for sure!!!

Congratulations! It's a wonderful feeling isn't it? I am still shocked every time I step on the scale, I expect it to start with a two and then it starts with a 1 and I smile every single time! Well done!

I like it. It's not pretty like some of the bracelets are but I want it to be obvious it's a medical Bracelet, not a decorative one that I'm afraid they'll look over. I bought it at CVS. It's easy to put in all my medical history and updates. I biggest fear is getting in an accident and not being able to communicate that no med works on me for pain except for Demerol. The first thing they give is Morphine and it has no affect on me at all My bariatric dr refused to give me Demerol and made me suffer after surgery, even after me telling him morphine, diuludad and other pain meds don't work on me. I don't want to go through that pain again! Now I just hope they'll believe me and give me something that works. There's got to be something else besides Demerol that works on me but we haven't found it yet.....

Congratulations! You have reached "The Dreaded Week-3 Stall". (You may have gotten there a little early.) It's perfectly normal and just about all of us have suffered through it. You're not crazy, and your doctor didn't screw up. In fact, you might not lose any weight for two weeks or more. But don't worry -- after that, the weight will start falling off if you stick to your program. If you're interested, here's a good article that explains why it happens and why we all have to go through it. Hang in there. Pretty soon it'll be in the rear-view mirror and you'll be dropping weight like crazy!

You just request it. I am getting one, and different shops make them. You just have to look up medical alert bracelets. I saw a lot of them.

I looked at the Etsy ones, and there is nothing - no medical symbol (cadeuceus) - to identify it to medical personnel as being a medical alert, so no on those unless the Etsy owner will engrave. Instead, I ended up ordering two from Lauren's Hope! Beautiful choices!

Wow, I'm glad I checked out the boards today. My husband and 2 best friends have all had the surgery and never have I heard anything about the need for the bracelets. Very interesting and something we definitely have to think about. Thanks everyone!

My husband is a first responder and you need to have your med id in your body. in 14 years he never looked in glove compartments or trunks or wallets. ..they dont have time. They are only looking at you and keeping you alive. Sometimes a car accident the purse or wallet is no where to be found as well and they don't know its for you. And if you are in a hotel or house fire they still won't have this info. A on person id is the way to go

Hiya :-) Been well. On another freagin stall. Stuck at 175 still but feeling good. Been resizing almost every day for the last 6,7 weeks, don't notice much of a change physically doing that. Still eating healthier than before surgery but I read what people on here are eating and I'm at a loss. Seems too difficult/complicated. I'm lucky if I can get dinner made. Lol would rather just drink the Protein and shove all the fruits/veggies in a blender and drink then too. Lol food is annoying. Trying to figure out what to eat is annoying too.
How many more procedures are you going to have to do? Can't they put in a shunt or something?? I hate that you are going through all this
My husband is fine too. No problems. Finally off of the Coumadin. No more blood clot. Yay!
