NMJG. Thank you!! Awesome advice, I have used this list for the past 3 weeks!
  2. I'm doing well on the weight loss, 25 pounds since surgery. 39 total. I just don't think I'm eating enough. What is your calorie goal at this point? I usually get between 400 and 600 calories per day. I try to get 80g Protein and less than 50 carbs. I don't always meet the protein. I track everything on MFP, including exercise. I have an appt. this week, so I will ask then, but just wondering how many calories everyone is eating! Sounds like everyone is doing well, YAY us!

    June 2014 Sleevers Check In!

I can eat a scrambled egg, tuna mixed with light mayo mashed up really well, ff refried beans with a little avacado and melted cheese, cottage cheese with mashed up canned pears, soups without chunks, canned crabmeat mixed with mayo and lime, egg drop soup, grits, v8, laughing cow cheese wedge. I tolerate all of it well but still can only get a few bites down before I'm full! Good luck to you!
  4. Hey everyone! Started mushy food and I'm so happy to eat 3/4 of a scrambled egg. Sometimes I think ,how did I used to eat so much pre-surgery! HW- 270 SW- 256 CW- 242 5'10
  5. Wow 17 pounds in a week. That's amazing!!
  6. I can't believe it's been one week since surgery! I seem to be doing fine and get close but don't make protein and liquid requirements each day. Every day is a little better. Has anyone noticed their heart rate a little elevated? That and I still feel a little shaky at times. I'm going Wednesday for 1 week app so I will ask. Just wondering if others experienced this?
  7. I had the same problem. I tried MOM.. nothing. Finally tried Co lace stool softener, worked like a charm!

    June 2014 Sleevers Check In!

Sleeved on June 9th, first day was dealing with trapped air and some pain. I was kept heavily medicated. The worst part was trying to get up to go to the restroom. Even with family help, it was an ordeal to unhook from the leg wraps and unplug the IV. I walked up and down the halls on the second day and had bouts of nausea off and on all day. I couldn't seem to get anything much down. The third day was the worst for nausea and everything I sipped, gurgled back up. It was at this point I started wondering if I had made a huge mistake. I barely got anything down. By the afternoon of the third day things made a big turnaround for me and I even kept 6 oz of a Protein shake down. After that they let me go home!!!! I was elated to get in my bed! I commend those that went home the day after surgery. I don't know how you did it! Day 4 is even better. I have been outside walking up and down my long driveway and have slowly gotten down an 8 oz Protein Shake. For some reason Water has a terrible metallic taste so im going to try watered down juice and crystal light. I'm a little sore in the belly but not on pain meds since early day 3. I hope everyone is doing well!

I'm on my third day post op. I cannot keep anything down. As soon as I take a sip I gag and then spit. Doctor isn't letting me go home until I can get fluids down. Ughh. I just want to go home!
  12. Me too. I can't keep anything down. I'm worried I won't be released til I do. The nausea is real!

    June 2014 Sleevers Check In!

Surgery yesterday, after a rough afternoon and night I'm better this morning. Yesterday was a lot of pain and nausea. Walking does help, just ready to get off these machines I'm tethered to! Hope everyone is doing well.
