  1. I have noticed my hair is already falling out in clumps, and I havent even had surgery yet. I could blame stress, menopause, whatever, but I have long thin hair and I am freaked. Been taking Biotin for a few weeks now, gonna end up in a wig, yikes.
  2. Starting my 1 week liquid diet today, one week from now I will be out of surgery by this time. Getting nervous ???? but excited????, little manic maybe ????
  3. @@Jyoyonomore I am the 14th also, it is coming so fast.
  4. Hey @@NOLAGal, I am scheduled for 10/14, 7:30 am. I am doing a one week liquid diet, starting Tuesday. what about you for liquid diet? Seems many doctors do many different plans. Good luck and there are a couple different threads for us October folks.
  5. Kinda perturbed, my Dr had said one week, I planned for two and then during my preop, he acted like with my job, he thought I might need to take longer. I am a contractor and no work no pay . I am in my car for 8 hrs at time with little opportunity for breaks. A bathroom might be 15 minutes away. And the is the increased blood clot risk due to being immobile. I discussed my concerns about my job during first couple appointments and now he changed his tune.
  6. There are so many things to keep track of each day and the schedule for Vitamins, so they dont interact, along with making sure you are getting your Protein and liquids. Any apps or ideas you can recommend to keep on track. I am thinking charts and graphs here, what worked for those that are post surgery? I am a bit of a flake and need all the help I can get. Thanks Smiley
  7. Best wishes AuriP!
  8. Best wishes this morning, hope all goes smoothly.
  9. The anxiety would have done me in, I am glad you made it through, best of luck to you as you recover.
  10. I am so sorry for both of you, hopefully things and be straightened out and you can get back on the surgery schedule. Cpower100, how much weight have you lost, what is your current BMI and do you have comorbities? I am not aware of the tests you referred to, I did not have them done. I worry about my bmi getting to low myself, but was told that once the insurance gave an approval number, I did not have to worry about going below the bmi of 35 and I hope that is true because the liquid diet is gonna put me under. Eta, sorry thought it was Daronb, got confused, Cpower100
  11. Stephanie, I agree with your thinking, and this wway you will be able to enjoy your cruise bedore starting your new life. If you are anything like me you wanna start NOW!
  12. Thinking about you karenallen, everything will go well and you will up and walking around the hospital soon.
  13. I went with a pretty coral, hope I don't need to take it off my fingers, but we gotta do what we gotta do.

  15. Hey my b-day is October 3rd, lotsa libras here , my surgery is oct 14th. Been overweight all my life, with many unsuccessful diets. I have been on this diet since March 21st and as of today, I have lost 50 pounds preop. Got a call in to dr office, wanna make sure its ok if I go below 35 bmi before surgery, but after approval. Luckily I only have to do one week liquid diet preop.
  16. good luck to all of you, can't wait to hear how everything went.
  17. I have one and it will be repaired during the bypass, so I wouldn't think it would delay your surgery, it does probably take the sleeve off the table as an option
  18. Julia4mom, just a heads up, these forums are public with no registration required to read, so u might wanna edit out your number, and send in a private message. I have been burned by this, so just a heads up
  19. Are the ready to drink Protein drinks better refrigerated. I bought my first ready to drink EAS AdvantEdge drinks and noticed it did not say anything, but seems to me they would be better. And post surgery, do cold items affect the pouch?
  20. it is very normal around 3 months post surgery and it does stop and grow back from everything I have read. Biotin chewables help according to some folks.
  21. I admitted in my psych eval that I had used bulimia on occasion many years before when I had binged on a diet, wasnt something I was comfortable with and didnt want to do it again ever. The psychiatrist still approved me for surgery and advised that if I started to struggle with anything to seek counseling asap. Hope that helps.
  22. had a bad day and with the case of the lasts going on, I almost did myself in. I work in my car, some days it is 12 hours or more. Today was a 12 hour day and under stress from outside forces I let get to me. I stopped and bought a smoked sausage from the salt lick sausage company, oh so yummy. Then they were giving samples of sweet and salty pecans, and I bought a pound bag, what the heck was I thinking. Then a friend brought me some salmon and 2 chocolate covered strawberrys. So, I threw away half the bun from the sausage, I had about 8 of the pecans and gave the bag to my son and his friend to take out of the house, and I ate the salmon and the strawberrys are in the fridge, planning to give to my boyfriend tomorrow. I was not as bad as I could have been, but wow, I have not had a day like that where I tried to sabotage all my hard work. Thank you for reading my confession
  23. I have read that adding the unflavored Protein powder to many things helps beef up you protein numbers. You can add it to about anything. http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/ she has lots of suggestions for most everything.
