My surgeons plan has regular food 7 weeks after surgery.. Also RNY patient. My mom and sister went to a different surgery and they couldn't return to reg foods for 9 months!!

When is everyone allowed to go back to a regular "modified" diet?? Like not go crazy sugar n whatnot like before surgery but how we should be eating.. Hopefully everyone understands what I mean

I have one I ordered before my surg it includes: On front- Name DOB ICE name ICE number On back- RNY gastric bypass oct -14 No blind NG tubes/NSAIDs Asthma Allergy: ... I did unfortunately have to get an add on charm becuz I had a SEVERE allergic reaction to pain meds after surg!! Also I wear mine as an anklet so then people arnt constantly staring at it knowing my business!

When I go grocery shopping I can't go down the baking aisle (can't stand the smell of sugar or the spices) or the Mexican aisle.. The smell of the soft tortillas is SOO strong! I feel like after surg ur sense of smell is heightened!

I am the exact say way.. Feel great all day!! Evening comes around BAM feel like crap! Dry heave or even puke sometimes! Not eating anything different then during the day! And if I even think about food I want to hurl! Makes no sense

Where do u live.. Cedar point is close to where I live!! I don't need to know exactly but I live in toledos surrounding areas

I use my fitness pal.. It always tells me I'm way under what I should be eating when I try to complete my entry but I can scan barcodes track food water and if u have an iPhone it tracks ur steps!

I feel great during the day! Just night time before bed I get horrible stomach pains.. I'm not sure if I'm just eating too fast or what but it's like clockwork! One week out and just over 18 pounds down!! Seems crazy to look at the scale and see numbers I haven't seen in ages!!! So glad we are all in this together! I've had a few bm's never a big amount and always very dark. I pee all the time tho!! Lol

It's so strange how everyone's post op diet is. I'm only allowed water non carbonated drinks no caffeine my protein shakes. Skim milk. Greek yogurt under 19g of sugar. Cream of ... Soup low fat kind. For 2 weeks. No applesauce or anything pureed until week 2-4

I also had my surgery on Tuesday the 28th of October! 28 yrs old 283 pounds pre surg. I'm finding that Im having more pain at home then I was in the hospital and I even stayed an extra night due to a severe allergic reaction to a pain med! I find that even consuming Water hurts my stomach but yet I can cough and move without any pain.. Anyone else similar ?

I'm pretty sure they will my sister has it and I don't think she pays for much! I'm from Michigan btw

Just signed my consent papers for the 28th of October ????

So got a phone call from my doctors office yesterday at 530 asking me to move my last appt up so we can make it as close as we can to my tentative date oct 27.. It's been officially set for the 28th!! ???? it's for real now the shock is setting in.. So nervous I don't even want to eat!! Now that it's down to the nitty gritty it's all moving so fast. Tuesday is my pre op group meeting!!!! Ahhhh!

Did they give u guys a tentative surgery date? Like my stuff will be all done (appts etc) mid October and I'm tentative for oct 27 mind u that could change because of insurance or some unforeseen thing but Atleast it gives me something to go off of!
