How much time is everyone planning on taking after surgery and what kind of work do you do?

Im taking 6wks I cook

I want to take more off. I do not want to go back to work

Good question. Im still in the beginning stages but im a waitress so im unsure as to how much time they may want me to take it easy. What is the average time the doctors recommend??

Hopefully just 4 weeks no more than 6...

Some drs say 2-4 weeks if it's laparoscopic 4-6 if it's open..

I'm hoping a week. I'm part time

Im taking 6 weeks as well!! I stand on my feet 10 hours a day and im not going back too soon

What kind of work does everyone do.. Anybody lift heavy objects?

I am a care giver only taking 1 week off.

My surgeon suggested 4 weeks off. I work with developmentally disabled individuals and some have very aggressive behaviors. He said I will prob feel better and want to go back but my insides need to heal to ensure my safety. He also said that in his experience he has seen better success with people who have been able to take time off bc they have the time to fully devote to following the plan.

I'm taking minimum 6 weeks

My surgeon says One Week, though I am planning for two.

I was told two weeks. I work at a library but I unpack boxes of books so heavy lifting
