How much time is everyone planning on taking after surgery and what kind of work do you do?

I am starting to wonder about some of these surgeons....

I am a cook at a hospital. I have to put groceries up on tues and fri ist more than 20 pounds. So I have to be out six weeks. Now for the nurses and everyone else in the hospital that has had it in other departments can afford to come back to work earlier cause they do not strain on nothing. Im 5 weeks post. If it wasn't for bills I would stay out longer. Im not going to hurt myself for no one, so please give yourself time to heal no straining focus on your diet it is hard be strong. I was hoping to take a week or less. Maybe I was being hopeful.

I'm having ankle surgery and will be out of the office for 8 weeks in a few months. If I could have my surgery in that time frame that would be great.

I work in an eye doctors office. My surgery is scheduled for a Friday, so I'm taking that whole next week....10 days total.

I'm a caregiver I surgery on sept 2 I took 14 days off I go back on the 16th

I took 4 weeks off and have a sit down job. I probably could have gone back after 3 weeks but I had a couple of issues. I honestly don't think I could have gone back any earlier because I was way too tired. Little things would wipe me out. Good luck on your journey.

I feel pretty good I have the lap band and I have 4 incisions one where they fixed a hiatal hernia, didn't have sticch , glue over it. I'm 6 days out and feel grat now. So hopefully by the 16 I can be back to full duty .
