  1. MyFittnesspal: Hershpup Sleeved 5/21/14 anyone welcome to add me.
  2. 3 weeks out and ice is still my best friend... If I can't get water down any other way i can through ice chips.
  3. Sw: 225. CW: 217 - down 3 lbs, (and it's my third week no stall!) GW: 205 - may not happen but I'm going to try,
  4. There is only one point I can agree with your ex friend about. If she truly overcame an eating disorder (and I'm so sure she didn't just replace one with another) your choice may in fact be a trigger to her. That being said, You don't need that negativity in your life. This choice has nothing to do with her and everything to do with you. YOU made the choice that was best for you, so don't let others get you down. Find Positive friends that accept you for you and not because of what you weigh. Feel free to add me as a friend.
  5. It is for me, I can do about 2-3 oz if it's more liquified (like yogurt). I put 2 1/2 ounces of chicken in a bowl for dinner. I ate about half before getting full (will eat the rest in about an hr and 1/2)
  6. My sleeve is finicky, some days it loves food in the morning, others I can't eat a bite. Goes on all day.
  7. . I'm pretty sure you will surpass your goal, sorry that you've been in the hospital with kidney stones and a ruptured cysts at the same time.
  8. I was allowed canned chicken or tuna (but don't eat tuna), Scrambled eggs, tofu, re fried Beans (don't eat either) in the puree stage. Greek yogurt also helps. Currently I'm eating the yoplait greek 100 calories yogurt in apple pie flavor, it has 12 grams of protien. It does have 12 carbs as well but some carbs are needed (and I only eat one container a day), try adding any of these to your diet and they should help boost your Protein.
  9. I'm a medium loser - not fast but not slow either (at the moment) I haven't updated my ticker yet as I do that on Thursday, but I've lost 2 lbs this week so far. Week three is going okay but my pcp says there may be an infection in my incisions probably due to the bendryl as it has antihistamines in it and I'm sensitive to antihistamines but I have antibiotics for the next week.
  10. Yes, almost three week out and itchy, very itchy. I'm going to try calamine lotion (works for the itchy of poision ivy) and aloe Vera gel ( itchy from sunburns) to see if it helps as I'm sensitive to Bendryl.
  11. I slept in my bed once I got home, found it easier then my recliner. I did however prop my head up.
  12. it really depends on the job, I don't have a desk job but my job involves a lot of sitting around doing nothing. I had 2 weeks off and was cleared to go back and wish I would have taken another week off to recuperate more.
  13. Since water intake matters, add some more water to what you are drinking now, It helps with the full feeling. I have 2 more days until puree ends for me. err 1 and some hours as I work nights and can start at midnight on the 11th.
  14. @@Nicholej I'm only 19 days post op but i've found that I do better getting Protein in when I can get it from the food and not the shake. I can only eat so much but when I finish my evening snack I'll be at 45 grams protein from food alone. (mostly soft chicken in a food processor so it's really tiny and fine to eat).
  15. @@ChavaBling yes, that works wonders, I also have the benadryl cream which helps.
  16. Not really but I itch like crazy.
  17. ooh construction worker.
  18. I kind of miss my sweet tooth. After surgery and having drank those Protein shakes, I don't handle sweet things very well. I can barely tolerate a shake - drink it because I have to but too sweet.
  19. Honestly, you may need someone to come and visit with you. I slept for a good part of the time but got bored very easily. I also am under a lift ban of nothing heavier then 10 lbs until a month after my surgery date (no pulling/pushing/lifting) so I need a little help cleaning the house and you may be the same way.
  20. Update: Now DOUBLE the loss I was able to do without my sleeve. It truly was one of the best decisions of my life.
  21. Well since I weighed in last Thursday, I might as well weigh in today. SW - 225 goal weight: 205. : weigh in #1 - 220 *Yahoo 5 lbs!* Officially DOUBLE what I was able to lose without my sleeve.
  22. . No idea, haven't been tracking that. Probably should start.
  23. Sleveed 5/21 @ 2:30.gained 3 lbs due to fluids/gas, not counting that. lost 13 lbs first week, this week it looks like only 2-3 lbs (17-18 lbs total). Have been struggling to get in both liquids and Protein. been hovering at around 50 grams protein and about 32 oz of liquid. Get to go to puree foods at midnight.
  24. While going vegan is not for me, I don't see what the problem is as long as you find ways to get protein in. Personally I love tofu (9 grams of protein for 1/4th the block) and am looking forward to when I can eat it again (2 more days)
