  1. I know I'm not eating enough, I'm just not hungry. Oh well, I may have to force myself to eat. The good news is I found out that decaf iced tea is something my body loves to drink. I drink about 26 oz of it a day currently (and it counts as water for me). I'm also looking into a gym to get my exercise in.

  3. buy containers (if you don't have any already) to store leftovers in, you will have them. Get in the habit now of researching reasturants before you go so you know what is good to eat (when you get to that stage)
  4. GaHH just realized I put my weight down wrong. It's CW: 215 not 225. Oops!
  5. Yay! tomorrow makes a month for me, down 25 lbs in one month.
  6. maybe but Orange juice is the one thing I crave when I'm sick/don't feel good or about to start my period. as for the cabbage, It does have a lot of Vitamin C (as does oj) so maybe that's it.
  7. Almost forgot to weigh in - been a busy week. Spent most the week stalled. CW 225. I think that's a loss of 2 lbs. maybe I lb this week but the scale is moving again and it's 25 total lbs in a month since surgery so I think that's pretty darn good.
  8. The weirdest? I've always hated to sleep/lay on my stomach but after surgery (and when I came home) the pressure from laying on my stomach feels good. I'm also craving stuff I normally don't like (like orange juice and cabbage)
  9. I think it is normal, you may need to wait a few months and try again. For me right now, I don't handle beef well. Chicken and ham I'm good but beef likes to revisit me.
  10. Is it a rash or hives? I recently found out that I'm allergic (mildly Thankfully) to Benadryl, It's possible it's something in the shakes but it also could be your body more sensitive to your regular detergent/soap/ etc. I know that my body chemistry has changed and my regular detergent irritates my skin if I don't let my clean clothes sit for a day or two first.
  11. Yes, I use the multi-vites by Vitafusion, Fruit flavored and I haven't noticed an aftertaste.
  12. week 4: how is everyone? I'm a bit nauseous and having trouble keeping things down.. Seem to have also hit my first stall but also could be due to my TOM being due any day now.
  13. Mine aren't but then again, I'm only 3 1/2 weeks post op so I've barely started to lose weight (about 10% weight loss).
  14. Oh I am so glad I found this. I'm about 3 and 1/2 weeks post op and the thought of putting anything in my body makes me want to throw up. I can handle a little bit of water - only if it's ice cold and frozen works the best. I can tolerate chicken but that's about it, everything else makes me sick including the protein shakes.
  15. Tried to look at the data-- forgot my starting and goal lol it says file not found Hmm...when I clicked on the link above, the one embedded in your message, it opened right up. Can someone else chip in and let us know whether you can see the file or not? I'll try to troubleshoot, but need to know if no one can see it or if only some of you are having trouble. THANKS! I can see the file with all the info
  16. my doc said it was the day after surgery that was day one. (but then again I couldn't have water till then).
  17. I should try that I bought the ready made stuff and hate the taste, diluting it might help.
  18. I went through that, for me it was a combination of a swelled stomach (given a steroid to reduce swelling) and my pain med making me sick.
  19. I'll have to fine those, I need to get more protein in but literally nothing sounds good.
  20. That's my ring tone and pretty much one of my theme songs for this year (along with "Let it go" from frozen). I'm letting go of the old me and the new me is ROARing
  21. What about this? http://www.amazon.com/Isopure-Protein-Drink-Grape-ounces/dp/B001M0NJNC/ref=pd_sim_hpc_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=1BS0F5C9JEY87HSF85Q5 third picture down lists the ingredents *may need to hover over the image*
  22. @@MayDaisy, @@shanbnan, welcome
  23. Not a silly question and honestly I have no idea.
  24. Don't be so hard on yourself. 8 oz in 90 minutes is awesome. It takes me around 2 1/2 hours to get 8 oz in and I'm 3 weeks out. you may not hit your goals right away but that's okay as you are recovering from a major surgery. Give it time, and try to increase a little more each day.
  25. Honestly it depends on each individual person, and this surgery may not be for you. I'm still a "newbie" to this procedure only 3 weeks out but I can tell you this. For me, this is the only way I've been able to lose more then 10 lbs due to a very sluggish, practically dead metabolism. It's not some quick weight loss scheme, It is very much a lifestyle change and really only a tool to help you make the change to a healthier lifestyle. Do I still want bad food? Yes, however it's changed. My body no longer tolerates sweet stuff and I get full very fast but for me, this was one of the best decisions of my life.
