  4. I think it is important for anyone that is vomiting uncontrollably to get in to see their aftercare provider as soon as possible. Don't wait!
  5. Wow! It was the bottom of your stomache? I have heard alot of things and have subsequently seen more than I think I should ever have, but I have never heard of the bottom of the stomache dying as a result of a prolapse. Generally it is the part of the stomache that migrates up into the esophogas or up into the band that suffers from necrosis due to the lack of blood supply. This is a pic of a prolapse. Just a regular prolapse that occured during a fit of wretching. No band on this patient.
  6. Dr. Muse is who works with Fill Centers USA in Salt Lake City.
  7. It is called a gastric prolapse with pouch necrosis. This is a very very rare complication. So sorry to hear about your troubles.

  10. Another boring show. I guess tonight I'll be watching UFC Fight Night Live! (was going to anyways but now I won't regret missing AI)
  11. I'll just go ahead and throw this out there... GO PATRIOTS!! Who do you think will win?
  12. Well this show better pick up (Go Patriots!) or I'll have to find something else to watch on Tuesday and Wednesday nights!
  13. You should be aware that the use of that Fluid in your band is not approved by Allergan/Inamed and will void any manufacturer warranty on the band. (may possibly have changed since I checked, try calling Allergan for clarification) I did speak with one of the top guys at Ethicon a few weeks ago and he did confirm using a radiopaque (Isovue, or Iopamidol) fluid with the REALIZE gastric band is normal outside the USA but mentioned it is not approved for that purpose in the USA.
  14. Omnipaque is more viscous (thick) material which is also radiopaque. As far as I know, there shouldn't be any variation in the amount of Fluid as far as Omnipaque vs. Saline is concerned. (I may be wrong) As Wombat stated, it is thicker and thus has less of a tendancy to leak.
  15. Well last night certainly wasn't as good as the first... Until the last guy!
