    Wow, I'm blown away. You guys are doing so great... I'm way behind where you are and feeling like I've missed the boat. I've lost
    14 days preop . Lost 10 pounds 0-3 months postop. Lost 28 pounds 4-6 months postop. Lost 8 pounds I wish I had worked harder to stay on track during Thanksgiving and Christmas - would have been so much closer to my goals. Live and learn, right? My NUT is saying I'm still on track, and I've re-committed to the plan. 1 wk loss of 3 lbs is a good way to kick off my re-committment

But I'll also say that if I eat anymore ham or grilled chicken combined with some type of cheese, I'll croak. So, I really need to mix it up a bit - my menus are not as varied as I'd like right now. If you have ideas for easy lunch/dinner menus, feel free to share.

    Hey All, just checking in. I'm just shy of my 1st big goal - Onederland. I'm soooooo close! I am at 200.3 lbs today!
    I'm trying to stay focused today... and am drinking my Water. I'm staying away from any borderline Snacks, and come to think of it I need to get in my Protein Drink today. I started off with an egg sandwich for Breakfast (on lite bread), am having a portion of chicken/ham/cheese with a serving of spinach souffle for lunch, and I've made some egg salad for dinner.
    Here's the thing that's killing me... I'd have already met my goal if I'd just eaten right over the long weekend. I ate mostly high Protein Snacks, but I didn't get in enough Protein. I let the amusement park's guidelines re: coolers keep me from staying on track and eating as I normally would. Now, I'm not saying I ate amusement park food - but I did not have the ability to bring in items that had to be chilled. So, no yogurt, no Protein Drinks, no cheese sticks or lean meat cut into snack sizes. I ate protein, and I didn't go hungry, but I ate things like nuts and a few high-calorie foods, like pizza. Ugh. I hadn't had pizza since May, and let me tell you my sleeve let me know eating it now was a bad plan on my part.
    Oh, and the poo problem... still there. I've been mighty uncomfortable lately - to the point of really hurting and not wanting to eat anymore. About the time I think I'm going to call the Dr. for help my body decides to cooperate. So, maybe I just need to threaten it more, huh?
    I figure I might have some fun, fun Onederland news tomorrow!! Or not. Heh.

    @@LynRN the bottom... unless i was bending over,,, then out the top they came...lol i went from busting out of a 42DDD to 38D & really i think i could be in a 36 already... My mom came over one day & said "I think you need to go see Vicky about a Secret, cause whatever you are wearing under there isn't working anymore"

    @@soniaJ - I TOTALLY know what you mean. I have the hardest time believing that anymore weight will come off. I feel like this willl be like it has always been - down up down up. I am making myself keep following the rules so that I change my reality. I WANT THIS to work, and I'm working hard to make it happen.

    Odd, I'm not having any issues with my incisions on the surface. Mine don't have scabs now. I have hard knotts on the inside of my skin, and they itch a bit, but otherwise they look good. Everyone scars differently, but red rimmed and dark doesn't sound good.

    I was in the 15th lost 18lbs the first week. Then it slowed to mere ounces a day. Now it's 12 oz to a lb again in my 3rd week. At one week out the Dr ordered me to eat soft foods and that's what caused it for me. I wasn't getting enough calories and blacking out. I started at 220 now today I'm at 195

    @@DownPat so my doctor gave me noth the Celebrate and Bariatric Advantage but both of them are so strong they make me terribly sick for the rest of the day. Unfortunately my doctor is very ANTI over the counter Vitamins but my best friends doc told her to get the vita fusion chewable and that's what she takes and her blood work has been coming back great. So that's what I went and got and have been taking. The celebrate was the worse for me and mixing it with food only made me sicker. You just have to keep trying different things.

    I've gotten several sugar free syrups and flavoring and have been adding them to my yogurt (chocolate, caramel, strawberry, cocoa powder, and a blueberry spread that is kinda like a jelly). I also add 1tsp of splenda. If it seems too thick I thin it with soy milk. I've also been making some to freeze... yum. I nuke it for 10 seconds, then eat.
    As to getting my liquid in... I sip on a bottle of Water constantly. Just little tiny sips. I'm also drinking those Pure Protein drinks from Costco/Sams (the ones in the red and white boxes). I just sip on these too. For right now I'm not watching the clock too much, just focusing on getting them down. I only delay my water/shakes if I've had yogurt or Soup, as I want to be sure I don't wash away my only real food.

    Hey everyone I was sleeved august 25th... went to the grocery store yesterday and got sooooo emotional in the ice cream aisle because I couldn't find any ice cream that was sugar free and fat free.. The sugar free ice cream still said it had sugars wth..I was so confused I just left... im on full liquids until September 12th...

    I am at 4 days post-surgery and just saw the scale dip below my pre-surgery weight! I'm so excited! I can't believe how fast these 4 days have gone. I got very lucky and had my wonderful SIL want to come for a visit on Thursday, so we've been out gallivanting, and she's been playing with my kids when they get home from school (so they aren't climbing on my sore belly or lap). She also made dinner for everyone last night, including Soup for me! Wow, I'm totally feeling blessed. She is going back home on Sunday, and I'm so dreading that... I need to convince her to stay!
    About the recovery.... I have LOTS of gas - it seems like my tummy fills with gas/air after every sip - I have little mini-burps with every effort to drink. It can be painful too - about every 8th swallow I get a big bubble and I have to stop for a while. I'm not pushing myself though, but I'm surprised at all the gas. Anyone else dealing with this?
    Yesterday I had a "WTF did I do?!?!?" breakdown. It occurred to me that I'd changed everything about the rest of my life, whether I end up liking it or not. It was very scary, to say the least. I sorta terrified myself, and I'm grieving a bit for the foods I can't eat right now.
    As to what I'm eating - mostly I'm having Premier Protein shakes (bought at Sam's), homemade chicken Soup (strained), and whatever Water I can get down. I'm being sure to log the amt of Protein I'm getting AND the amount of liquids. I've got my protein up to 60, but I'm lagging on the amt of liquids. I started my day off with Water today, so maybe that will help.
    I'm cold... is anyone else cold??
    I'm done rambling! I've loved watching all of your statuses come over - it's been fun to read and nod, since I'm experiencing the same stuff as you guys. I don't feel so alone.

    I just found out what too full feels like. Ouch. I had a 1/2 cup (4 oz) of pudding thinned with 1 oz Protein Drink. Gets in 6 grams of Protein. Also is too much for me right now. Ugh. Eyes are watering.

    I took my Gasx in and my Dr added it to my chart to be given per box instructings. It helped loads, and I didn't have to sneak.

    Hello all! I'm a bit late checking in! My VSG is just 2 days away on 8/26!!! I'm like everyone else... nervous and really looking forward to it too.
    I have been doing OK on my pre-op Meal Replacement diet. I've had a little bit of head hunger, but it's not so bad. Pretty much I just have to go have another shake, or some broth, and I get through it. I've lost roughly 7 lbs on the pre-op diet, but frankly, I thought I would have lost more. I'm not knocking it, I'm just a tad bit concerned I didn't do something right. I'm wondering if I'll find out later that I was supposed to be eating more, or something crazy like that.
    Anyway, I'm here.. I'll soon be on the other side of the VSG and I am excited.

    Hello all! I'm a bit late checking in! My VSG is just 2 days away on 8/26!!! I'm like everyone else here, and I really appreciate that someone started a thread just for people on this date (or nearby)... I'm nervous and really looking forward to getting this done too.

    I'm looking through posts re: the recommended "foods" for the clear liquid post-op 1st week. I've watched a number of videos of VSG'ers on Youtube and I'm sure I've seen lots about what to consume during these days, but now that I'm here I'm a little stir crazy and can't seem to get my mind wrapped around preparing the groceries I'll need.

    @Mexico Bariatric Center in Tijuana thru 3 personal friends who went there this past year. It was affordable and came with rave reviews from my friends.
    I started in May talking to Cindy - the liasion - and started dieting immediately. I started at 312lbs and have since dropped 25lbs. They told me I had to lose 15 lbs to avoid an extra BMI fee. I have been on their modified liquid diet of 2 Protein Shakes and a chicken and veggie dinner for 3 weeks and then just started last Thursday on the 2 Protein shakes and 1 Soup diet.
    I was hoping we could all keep in touch and support each other. Let me know your stories!
