I was sleeved the same day as you... Also was in a stall... Sucked the scale kept going back and forth 1 pound and this morning I lost 3.6 pounds... Didn't believe it at first and probably won't until I weigh myself in the AM. I'm not sure what changed but prior to the last few days I was eating pretty low carb and my calories were 7-900 cal. With the scale not moving I was like WTF!!! And then the doubt set in. I lost a fair amount of weight prior to the surgery on my three month supervised diet and I kept thinking why did I do this if was losing weight better the other way. What happened in the last 4 days is I relaxed and ate. Got my protein in and didn't completely restrict my carbs. Calorie intake was 9-1200 cal/day. Also even though I was getting in the min water requirements I did increase that. All I really know is the body is stubborn and it's going through a lot of changes and sometimes it just does not want to let go of the weight even though you know it should be. SO FRUSTRATING And it's ENOUGH TO MAKE YOU WANT TO SCREAM!!
My stats HW/ and first MD appoint FEB 6 360 lbs start of liquid diet 335 lbs SW 314 stall happened about 3 weeks out from surgery at 294 and fluctuated 294- 295lbs. Today 8/22 291lbs. I have been exercising 5-6 days a week! 30-45 mins cardio-- treadmill/elliptical/ walking with a friend and some light weight training.

I need help... I am getting so very frustrated...
My dreaded 3 week stall has lasted 31 days. This is getting ridiculous. The scale has been playing with 2 pounds for 31 days... Did I mention I have NOT LOST WEIGHT in 31 days!!!
    Here is my "typical Day"
    Breakfast- Protein Shake
Drink a large Crystal light. ( I add about 28 ounces of Water with one of those tiny packets)
    Morning snack is Yogurt
lunch is a slice of roasted turkey with some mustard, or maybe a bit of cheese. (2-3 bites)
afternoon snack is another Protein shake
dinner is sometimes caned chicken with cheese, or some refried Beans with cheese
Then evening snack is my Homemade pudding pops... (Sugar free pudding with double Protein Powder put in popscicle molds)
    What am I doingwrong!!???!!!

    I recommend: http://www.ultimategastricsleeve.com/
I got the book on Kindle and trying to review the material every day. See highlights (attached photos). One tip he has to change your life is to focus on adding new good habits (rather than stop bad ones). He says do one at a time and before you know it you will have less and less bad habits because you are spending time focusing and learning new good habits!

I have problems with certain foods. I cannot eat eggs yet. They hit my stomach like little lead pebbles. What I am able to eat without much problem is rotisserie chicken especially of in use low fat gravy with it. I have stayed away fromoat carbs. Though my nut stated that you should have some to help you get through the exercise without getting to tired. With that I found lentil crackers that have 5 g of protein per serving.
Good luck and just keep playing with your food to see what works.

My stall has left the building for now!!!! My doctor explained to me it happens to everyone and at three weeks we may be babying our stomach so much (as our doctors want us to) that the very liquid/soft foods slide through easier and we can eat more. I am positive that wasn't my stall issue but do know that I am hungry immediately after eating certain foods. I have been incorporating many new foods into my diet this week. I even had grilled chicken and a few pieces of lettuce, a cucumber slice and small piece of a Tomato yesterday. This morning I had 1 chicken sausage. I am 6.5 weeks out. Best of luck to everyone who is currently experiencing a stall. I think having gone through it that I know next time to be more patient.

7.14.14Sleever got a reaction from BeagleLover in plane ride home from Mexico any problems?
My flight home from Mexico was 1 hour flight, then a 2 hour layover then 5 hour flight... I was able to find Vitamin Water which was good to have. No fizzy no sugar. and I walked pretty much of the layover time. Other than feeling bloaty, and the smells of the airplane grossing me out, I did pretty good.... Just remember to walk and sip, repeat.

Sleeved on July 15 and I decide to have this surgery because I was to a point where I was at the highest weight I have ever been in my life. I would try to go on diets but the drive to actually stick to it burned out a long time ago. I decided last year to call and get information about WLS. Now I am about three weeks out and I am trying to adjust to this new lifestyle.

I'm stalled too and it is frustrating but I still feel thinner. Clothes are loser. Image in the mirror is smaller. Trying to focus on that while the scale is stuck. Hope your stall is over soon!

Hi y'all I was sleeved on the 14th and so far have lost 21 pounds. I also look at the scale and think ... shouldn't I have lost more today? but the reality is this kind of weightloss is dramatic and exactly what we were looking for when we decided on weight loss surgery.
REmember that normal rates of weightloss with dieting and exercise are 1-2 lbs loss per week.
I see us all on here 2-3 weeks post surgery stating weight loss in the 14-30 lb category and remarking that we'd like to have lost more by now. Dudes! We are rocking the weight loss! Be patient and stick with the liquids or soft foods wherever you are and the weight will *continue* to just fall off of us. This is good people!

July 21 for me. 305 at 4th of July and 265 on July 31. Extremely excited to start a new chapter of my life. I was told this morning that I have not snored in a week or so and I have no knee pain.
Looking forward to the puréed phase of my diet .

My 3 week stall came early. I lost 14 pounds the first week but only 3 pound since. I know I'm not moving enough but I still thought the weight would fall off at only about 500 calories a day... Hoping to get over the stall soon

That is a hard one to describe... I would just say... GAS bubbles.. Painful gas bubbles.. BUT they go away pretty quickly.. Just make sure you drink/eat very very slowly and it won't be a problem.

7.14.14Sleever reacted to Bufflehead in What was your favorite thing to eat in the "pureed" stage?
Another vote for refried Beans here. I like mine with melted cheese and hot salsa.
Another favorite thing to do was puree meat with a tasty sauce and heat it up. Depending on the meat, top with some cheese too. This makes a little casserole type dish. I mostly used the little individual serving size packets or cans of meat because I really couldn't eat enough to get through fresh meat before it went bad. Some favorites:
thai spice tuna with Sriracha sauce
chicken with low carb BBQ Sauce and cheddar cheese
turkey with peanut satay sauce and jack cheese
    lemon dill salmon with remoulade
ground beef with horseradish sauce and gruyere cheese
chicken with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese
sweet & spicy tuna with chipotle BBQ sauce
for me anyway, meat pureed with Water or just plain broth/stock was disgusting - like baby food. Bland and blech. But meat pureed with a very flavorful sauce and heated up was really good.

    Hello Everyone!
I hope I can count as a July Sleever. I had my surgery on June 30. The hardest part so far was the fact that my cousin's birthday party was June 29th and I could not eat anything. I still can't believe I did it. I was a band revision to sleeve. I started at 355 (my highest weight was 391). I am down 30 lbs since surgery. Unbelievable! Funny thing is, I am not hungry. This is very strange for me. I eat because I know I have to and when I feel weak. I am working through this mentally. I am still attracted to food, the sight, and smell. However, I do not crave it anymore. It is as if my mind has already adjusted to the fact that I do not have the same stomach volume as before. This is so great that it's almost scary. Scary because this can really work! If I do what I am supposed to do, and learn to have a different relationship with food, I can have a normal body weight. Finally! Thank God!

Hello! My surgery was 7/7/14. My high weight before beginning. The preop diet was 266, day of surgery was 251, and current weight is 239. All in all it has been pretty good started on my soft easy to chew Proteins like canned meat, Beans and cheese. food doesn't taste the same, I am never hungry and when I eat I am so focused on eating slow, chewing, and not hurting my stomach it has become more of a chore than enjoyment. Also it is hard to get the Protein you need in. Exercising is going great, just surprised I have the energy:)

Not sure where you are in eating phase. I am in puréed. One of my favorite go to protein foods is sugar free/fat free instant pudding with two scoops of my vanilla protein powder and 1/4 cup PB2 powder. It s really good and very satisfying.
