I haven't been sleeved yet, but I did have a lot of cosmetic surgery done in Mexico in 2011. My main issue with the flight home was back pain due to excessive fluid collection in my lower back as a result of my extended tummy tuck. As far as bags and whatnot, there is always someone around willing to help you with your bags. I had someone help me get my carry-on in and out of the overhead compartment and I had someone help me get my checked bag off the carousel. Definitely try to use roller bags so you aren't having to lift and carry them through the airport.

My flight home from Mexico was 1 hour flight, then a 2 hour layover then 5 hour flight... I was able to find vitamin water which was good to have. No fizzy no sugar. and I walked pretty much of the layover time. Other than feeling bloaty, and the smells of the airplane grossing me out, I did pretty good.... Just remember to walk and sip, repeat.

I didn't have any problems. I spent the time in the airport walking up and down the terminal, and paid to upgrade to a bulkhead seat so I could shift my legs around during the flight and get to my seat without contorting myself. It was about a 2 1/2 hour flight.
