  1. I've done great since surgery in May but I haven't lost any weight in two weeks. I'm down 115 lbs but now the scale has stopped. I did add some pasta once a week but zero bread. I'm having about 750 calories per day and walking about 2 miles every am. Any suggestions?
  2. I am 3 1/2 months post RNY. I feel wonderful and have lost 100LBS since the liquid diet phase. I'm eating about 700 calories a day and walking 2 miles 5 days a week. I feel great don't crave sweets. I can't eat bread, crust or anything similar. It makes me sick...I also need to cut up my meat into tiny bit size chunks. Other then that I LOVE IT! I wouldn't change it a bit. I'v very very pleased with my progress so far and i feel 100%. Good luck on your decision...I highly reccommend the RNY!

  4. . I love Dr Garza and his staff. I am so happy with my progress. 100 lbs since surgery. I've followed the eating plan and walk 2 miles 5 days a week I'm around if you want to talk.
  5. Today is a great day! Today I hit the 100lbs mark. I had my RNY on May 12th and as of my weight in today I've lost 100LBS. That is just over 3 months time. I'm doing great and eating healthy every day. I'm at around 700 calories per day and walk 2 miles every morning 5 days a week. I've just started to tone and lift light weights at the gym. I feel great and can't believe that i fit into an x-large shirt now..I was 3/4XL before. THis is the best decision I've made and have 0 regrets. I feel great and have so much more energy.
  6. I hear you. I'm two months out and feel much better. It has gotten better.
  7. I think it was just a healing process. I'm doing good now but struggle getting. 80 grams of protein in but am trying. I'm at 700 calories a day and 60grms of protein.
  8. I have a cup a day. No issues at all.
  9. When did you start popcorn? I'm a little over 2 months RNY. I LOVE POPCORN FOR THE CRUNCH.
  10. I'm 6 weeks out and am FINALLY able to work out. My energy has finally come back. I took my recovery 1 day at a time. Some days were ok and others I could barley get out of bed. Just listen to your body. Best of luck. Healing is a process.
  11. I made chicken salad chopped very fine and used fat free ranch dressing instead of Mayo. It was very good. You can add a little chicken stock to it also. Also egg salad chopped very fine with onion powder. I added strawberry protein powder to my yogurt and added it to SF pudding too. Also made chili then used a hand blender to make it smooth. It was so nice to eat something with flavor. Of course cottage cheese and applesauce no sugar added is good too.
  12. Went to the Dr today and in the 200s now. Doing good. Tried steak yesterday and it didn't go we'll. got very sick. Will wait a few weeks and try it again. But otherwise all is good. So glad I had RNY.
  13. That is awesome.
  14. I am 3 weeks out from RNY and I'm still recovering. My energy is low in the afternoon. I took 5 weeks and will need every bit of it. I still need to nap in the afternoon. Good luck and dong rush back to soon.
  15. I've been struggling with energy the last few days. I'm getting protein in and walking at the gym. Yesterday I was do tired I could hardly walk. Doing better today. I guess it's all in the healing process. I did add carbs to my diet. I had mashed potatoes last night and 1/2 banana this am. Maybe that will help. Any suggestions?
  16. I had 60 grams of protein today so I think that is ok. I had 1 egg cottage cheese and chicken for lunch.
  17. I am 20 days post op and have good days and then days when I have 0 energy. I'm walking 30 min on treadmill everyday. I'm not drinking protein shakes. Just eating breakfast lunch and dinner and taking all my vitamins. Could the lack if protein shakes be the reason I'm so tired. Any suggestions to improve energy?
  18. So i'm 13 days post opp and I'm walking 2 miles a day. I feel great and can't believe the difference. I've not had any issue with my pouch or eating at all. I'm very mindful to only eat 6 OZ at a meal and no snacking at all. I'm getting about 50G of Protein a day and am trying to increase it. I put the strawberry flavored Protein powder in my yogurt or add the non flavored one to cottage cheese. I did make an awesome chicken salad using Fat Free Ranch Dressing and it turned out excellent. I also made egg salad and added protein power into the mix. I'm doing great and can't believe how good i'm doing. I don't have hunger like i used to. Last night I almost forgot to eat dinner...UMM That has never happened before. I'm already down a pants size and love the feeling. I've decided to only weigh myself every 7 days. I don't want to get hung up on the number but rather the feeling of having energy and clothes fitting. Good luck to all the JUNE Surgery folks! My Partner is having his surgery on Monday June 2nd. He is on the liquid phase now and already lost 15LBS. Its nice that he has decided to have it too so that we can both get healthy together. My next door neighbor noticed I lost weight and said something. He said well at least you won't have boxes of Dominos pizza anymore in the garbage bin...LOL Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement!
  19. I have 1 cup if regular coffee every morning with fat free creamer and a sweet and low. I've had no issues and I'm losing weight.
  20. Hello from Wisconsin. I live in Mayville just west of Madison. I had my RNY last Monday at Aurora in Summit WI. Everything went great and I'm feeling great.
  21. It's been 12 days post surgery and I'm going excellent. I have tons of energy and walking 2 miles a day in the treadmill. Had chicken salad on the purée phase and had no issues at all. I'm so happy I did this. I just feel so much better.
  22. That is wonderful news! I'm down about 50lbs too. I had my surgery 10 days ago and feel great! I'm amazed at how much energy i have! Keep up the great work!
  23. So today is day 10 post op and I went to the gym and walked 1 mile on the treadmill. I tried to ride the bike..but that was not happening. I still have a very sore incision site where the drain was and it is still open. Walking felt great ...glad i went! So that was 25 minutes on the treadmill. I'll keep going everyday and trying to increase it a little. Everything is going really great! I don't have any complaints! I'm very happy with my decision to have RNY!
  24. So glad it went well. Sounds very similar to my surgery and stay in the hospital. I had mine 7 days ago and I feel awesome. Going this Am to my 1 week followup. Hoping to go to puree foods today. Rest and welcome to the other side.
  25. I ditto teabow. I'm 1 week post op and doing great. I'm virtually pain free and able to eat and drink with no issues. I use a calorie tracker and it helps. Good luck and welcome to your new life. I already feel better and the Diabetes is totally under control. Can't wait to go onto purée food tomorrow. It's amazing how 2 to 4 oz of food makes you full.
