  1. I'm officially 2 weeks post-op today, everything was going well till yesterday when I woke up with a serious head cold and of course I start my new job this coming Friday.

Is there anything I can take for this?

I also sneezed and pulled the muscles in my stomach that were starting to heal and now I can barely walk without sharp pain, tried the heating pad and Tylenol nothing helped to ease it.

  2. I know everyone loses weight in different way's and different places.

I'm 2 weeks out this Monday and I've gained 2inches around my waste, Am I really still that swollen 2 weeks out?!..I've lost 2inches around my calves, Arms and thighs. I just think it's weird was wondering if any one else experienced this lol.

  3. I was sleeved 9/8/14.

I didn't experience gas pain, But I did have incision pain and it was managed well in the hospital.

After I was released the next day, Pain was minimal but still present they sent me home with pain meds which helped. You aren't able to feel the stomach inside that's been cut and it hasn't been painful to drink, Since day 2 I've been getting all my liquids and Protein in no issue.

Honestly, Not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be.

  4. He did but so did I and the man is a helpless fawn in the kitchen. I had to cook french fries and corn dogs tonight (his choice) I made it through. Thing's are getting better, I'm use to the hunger feeling now but I keep reminding myself I really only have 3 more day's till the soft food phase, So theres a light at the end of the tunnel coming soon.

  5. @@marfar7 My husband is also obese and at this point has no plans to change himself. A day after the pizza we went shopping and Cookies, jalapeño poppers, doughnuts, and whatever else processed junk was in the cart. Before the surgery I definitely had more then one conversation with him about supporting me and maybe even joining me on eating healthy and maybe join the gym together. So far it looks like I'm the only one on this journey, I can't push him to do something he doesn't want to do and I'm not about to.

The night of the pizza I gave him the go ahead and told him I'd be fine, which honestly I probably would have been if it were one pizza because I knew it would be gone within a few hrs and out of sight, But no what I got were two pizzas sitting on my kitchen table for two days.

  6. @@Rovobay I hope so.

Today official week out from surgery (9/8/14)

Thing's are defiantly getting better, Only thing I'm dealing with now is pain in my lower left abdominal area from what I understand Is normal. It feels like really bad muscle pain, It's tolerable for the most part of the day it's not till 5-6pm rolls around that I start getting super sore from it.

  7. @@HaddocksEyes I wish I felt full..

Since coming home I've been able to get 64oz of Water and 80gr of Protein in each day no issue which is great considering...The issue is I can literally sit and eat a whole 4oz bowl of Soup and not get a sense of fullness, Yes it takes me forever to eat it but at the end I'm still hungry.

I'm on full liquids now and yogurt was included in that on my nutrition packet so I did almost a full cup of Greek yogurt today and that actually helped hold me over for a longer period of time then any of the cream Soups did, So I plan on eating that for a while.

  8. Seriously I don't want to complain about this surgery, It's what I wanted and did it for a very good reason.

I'm 5 day's out and on full liquids I feel like thing's are falling apart and I'm just trying my best to hold it all together.

I'M STARVING!!..I've gotten in all 64oz of Water and 80grams of Protein and I'm so hungry I'm about to crack!

It doesn't help that my husband decided it would be an awesome idea to bring 2 large pizza's into the house for himself and my small 4 year old daughter that will only eat 1 slice, But yet he thought it was necessary to get two after I told him to get one..This isn't head hunger. It's not acid reflux or the need to drink more water, this is stomach eating hunger..

Taking my pain pills and wrapping up in a blanket for a long night's sleep, At least I won't feel hungry then. Hopefully..
