Good morning! I am having surgery in july. Current weight 297 Four week goal weight 292 This month covers vacay and my birthday so just maintaining would be a win for me lol but I will try.

My condolences to you sweetie Where do you live? Maybe theres a support group on this site for your area. I wish I had done this when my son was younger ... I wouldve been a better mom. Dont give up.

I have a call in to my endo that treats my thyroid problems. .. I already asked her in the past about WLS and she just said No. She thinks i can do it alone. Shes an excellent endo and im afraid she will give me a hard time or fire me as a patient for having this surgery. She cant change my mind and I know she means well. I just dont want to hear it from yet another person who hasnt been in my shoes!

Yeah I am concerned about the results because I am not going through all the insurance requirements as a self pay... will I do as well as everyone else? Am I missing out on anything? Luckily my surgeon has a great year long follow up plan with classes.

Arbonne has a shake thats vegetable protein. Is gluten and soy free and I believe is sweetened with stevia.

Fyi the despicable me ride at universal studios was not fluffy friendly and it was too late to do anything about it unless I wanted to raise my hand and shout "hey this lap bar is pushing my belly through my spine" I do like how busch gardens lets you sit in a seat before you enter the line to see if you can comfortably fit.

I was never super thin when I was at a healthy weight so I dont know for sure... but I suspect we are all so used to being and seeing overweight people that normal thinness looks sickly. But its truly not. Go by how you feel and what your doctor says, but I wouldnt stop just due to some people insinuating youre too thin. Ask em where they got their medical degree from.

I am concerned about the preop diet but I hear people saying they could do it because they knew it was only temporary. Best of luck to you!

My surgery will be three months from initial consult. Im self paying. If I hadnt had some vacations already planned it couldve been maybe 4-6 weeks or less.

I'm overeating now, about two months before surgery. Makes me so sad and scared I wont' be able to change my ways. Must try harder

Ginger I do the same thing. Was out dancing Saturday night and when a guy danced with me I had to wonder if he was just joking - like "let's find the ugliest girl here to dance with for fun". Horrible to have so little confidence. And I told the guy I had been seeing about the surgery and he is against it because he likes his women fluffy which means he cares more about himself than he cares about me and my health!
