I'm still pre-op but another board said as long as the incisions are healed completely it's ok, especially if it's not a public pool or hot tub. personally i wouldn't risk it.

I have found that so many men scam us ladies who may have self esteem issues. Those of us with a heart cannot fathom doing that, but it comes so easily to them.

So many factors, but breaking point was being wingman for skinny friend ... She's beautiful inside and out, and I love her dearly but I feel like an elephant next to her yet I am invisible to people especially men. We are both recently single and people say oh I have the perfect man for her... No one suggests any of those men for me and I know the main reason is because I'm fat! And it's all my fault! That, and having to ask for a seat belt extender on an airplane for the first time. Talk about shame!

Travel club sounds awesome! Try a cruise, a single friend and I did one and there's tons of people to make friends with.

Omission is better than all out lying... Easier to justify and explain.

I am currently single and this scares me, lol, drive is more than high enough as it is. Look out, men!!

How do you politely respond to close friends who mean well, who tell you that you could do it without the surgery?

Yes, I received a coupon by email from my favorite online plus size clothing boutique, and realized I will never buy from them again! I hope the excitement of that keeps me going as I begin this journey!

have you tried Arbonne protien shake powder? It's not bad if its really cold. I haven't had the surgery yet but have been dieting using the powder. it's got 15 grams of Protein.

I want to do all the things I CAN'T do right now because of my weight - like roller coasters, parasail, zip line, etc., when I'm on vacation. It's not that I really WANT to do those things. I just HATE that I cannot do them now, and figure I'm missing out on some real fun. And clothes shopping, in ANY store, although I love you IGIGI and Lane Bryant. I'm going to take my cute big girl dresses to my local seamstress and have them altered to fit the new me.

I'm sooo excited, just scheduled my surgery today, for July 21st! I am so hopeful that I can make this work. Have a Caribbean cruise scheduled for one year after surgery, and cannot wait to not hate the photos of myself in a bathing suit next time. I'm so excited!!!

Yes i have this along with esophageal stricture and my surgeon said it is fine. Just scheduled the sleeve surgery. Maybe a second opinion?
