  1. Do hormones play a big role in weight loss? Is my breastfeeding hindering losing pounds? **I would say that hormones do play a big role in weight loss. I don't know that much about breastfeeding, you may want to ask someone who has had that experience. Do you have any suggestions to help me get on track? I feel like my brain is still in pregnancy mode and that I'm still growing a baby... **start tracking your food. Find out how much you should be eating during breastfeeding. Would doing a week on the liquid diet help at all? **only if its healthy and doesn't affect breast feeding Is there a possibilty that I've stretched my pouch? Did I screw up royally by getting pregnant and ruin my chances of being skinnier again? **Having a baby is not a mistake, its a blessing. You can get on track again. After pregnancy it could take a long time for your body to readjust again. I would talk to your doctor and don't panic.
  2. I loved the pics of you doing that mud run. Your face is hilarious! You are thoroughly enjoying yourself!
  3. One day at a time. Just remember how the food made you feel - not worth it! Get back up on that wagon!
  4. I am having surgery in 2 weeks, so far my cruise in December is keeping me motivated. I want to wear nice summer clothes and look great!

    Beautiful pic!
  6. have you googled kosher/vegetarian? I found this .... http://www.nutribodyprotein.com/shop.php
  7. I have 2 weeks clean eating, 2 weeks liquids. Liquids start Monday! Surgery in just over 2 weeks! Yay!
  8. I weened myself off coffee. I mostly drink tea but I have one decaf a day. After surgery I can't have any and I'm ok with that. Not craving caffeine really helps!
  9. Could you speak to those people and explain to them how it makes you feel?
  10. Everyone's body is different. I have wider hips and I'm short waisted with longer legs. Someone else may have broader shoulders. You look great and you are healthy! I learned to dress for my body type! Do some investigating - not everyone can wear the same old stuff. Congrats!!!!
  11. I agree. You should check with your nutritionist about the ratio of protein/carbs/fat/calories.
  12. First of all, beautiful pic of you and your dad. Mine was when I went to the pharmacy with my son and while we were waiting I tried out the blood pressure machine and my bp was high. I have never ever had high bp. That was it for me.
  13. You can stall - according to what my facilitator said. It's normal. You should see what you are eating. Maybe too many carbs? I can't have more than 30g of carbs, 15g of fat and 800 cals/day.
  14. It's funny because on days when I think I should cut back, if I eat protein the next day I almost always lose.
  15. Whoever does the groceries .... STOP BUYING JUNK! LOL. If he wants it, he can go get it. Make a nice lean chicken meal with salad - let's see if he eats it.
  16. That is really sad. My hubby told me (I didn't even ask) that we were getting rid of all the junk food, no more treats in the house - if he wants something he will eat it when I'm not there or he's out. Plus, he eats what I do. Example, if I make frittata, I'll put cheese on his, but not mine but we both eat the same thing. He eats salad and veggies. I make him rice and it doesn't bother me not to eat it, but if it did, he said he won't have it either. He's 500% supportive! If the people who love you the most won't support you, who will?
  17. No not kidneys - definitely back pain and lots of it When I was pregnant I would get sciatica pain as my weight changed and it almost feels like that. My leg is getting tingles and shooting pains down it from my back. Before my pre op I started to drink lots of water. One morning I had kidney pain so bad. My hubby asked me how much water I had. I drank a lot and he said my kidneys were probably overloaded. I stopped drinking for an hour and the pain subsided. I'm trying not to do anything DRASTIC now to my body.
  18. Just remember that your body is detoxing. You are getting all the sugar out, caffeine etc. That can be like a drug addict coming down off drugs. I did caffeine and sugar at the same time about 8 years ago and I had the shakes and sweats plus the worst migraine for 3 days. I just wanted someone to cut my head off. lol You are on the right path. Your body is in shock and just has to get used to it. You are doing GREAT!!!!!
  19. The company I am with, the minimum pre op diet is 4 weeks! The higher the BMI, the longer the pre op diet. I fall in the low range.
  20. Are you looking for a diet plan?
  21. Interesting to read this when I just posted about my 4 week pre op diet......
