Melissa you should get that bump checked out. I want to say my mom had one and there wasn't anything they could do for it. I think they told her it was a fatty deposit...nothing bad.Took Curtis to the doctor yesterday...how about he has an ear infection in BOTH ears. This is the 4th one since Sept. So they are sending us to an ENT..I just have to call and set up the appt. I take him to see his surgeon today because the poor kid still can't sit on his hinny. I don't know if it really hurts or if it's in his head now. I know that sounds bad but it could be. So that is why I having the dr look at it. Well I will be busy tomorrow so I don't know how I will do at checking in over the weekend...but I want to wish you all a Very Merry Chirstmas and have fun with your families.Post a pic or two so we can see what is going on.Oh and Happy Thursday...I am working a 1/2 day and off tomorrow and monday!!!!! YEAH!!!!!

WOW Kathy...sounds like you are going to be busy. Good Luck on all of that!!! To answer your question about my chiro..I Love Him!!! I have been going to on and off for 4 yrs. He has fixed Mike's knees so he didn't have to have surgery. He has helped my carpel tunnell. He helped both my sister and I when were pregnant and had that nerve problem. I even got my mom to go and he has helped her alot. Him and his wife are in practice together. I would say if you think you need an adjustment you probably do. Find a good one...it's worth it. Well if things couldn't get worse...Curtis wake up 5 times last night each time complaining of his ears and his hinny. So guess what that means for me today...DOCTORS!!! Boy those offices love me. I think the next step is tubes for him. Lets hope that will be the first of the year. I go to the dr for my back tomorrow...lets hope it starts feeling better. It feels a little better today so maybe it will get even better tomorrow. For Christmas...it's always busy. We go to my parents Christmas morning and then the in-laws in the afternoon. I love having family here but on hoildays it gets to be too much. We don't have any time to ourselves that day and Curtis is getting mad because he sees what Santa brought him and then we leave and don't get home til late. So next year this mom is putting her foot down and we will start spending some time at home first and then we will go to everyone's house. I know that's mean but they see us all year long it's not like they are coming from out of town. Is that mean? Plus we have to go to both houses on Christmas Eve as well.... Dianne have fun up in NJ...I didn't realize you were going to be gone..I know you will enjoy your trip. Isn't that were you are from? I could be worng. Melissa...do I need to get you a calendar? I am just as bad....I have to admit if I don't have that card or write it down I forget!!!! Happy Wed everyone!!!!

Hey Angie...yes please keep us posted. I know everything will be fine. Mine was outpatient surgery so no long stays in the hospital and I think you will be back on your feet before long. Hang in there!!!

Oh Karen I am so glad the program went good. I thought about you...and really wanted to come but I have so much to do that I couldn't get away. Maybe I can catch it next year. Dianne how are you feeling today? Any better? Melissa...I have those days also. It's the season for little problems to pop up. Gotta love them. Went to the chiropractor yesterday to get my back fixed and I have something down in my lower back. I have to go 2 days a week for the next 2 - 3 weeks. If it helps me then I am there. I felt a little better yesterday but today it's back to hurting. Not being able to advil is killing me that is the only thing that helps me. Oh well life goes on... My dad will be here thursday....we are so excited to see him. None of us like this job and I don't know how mom and him do it but they are making it work. Happy Tuesday everyone!!!!!

Oh Angie...I am so sorry. I had mine out in March of 99. It was about the same healing time as the band. Who will do your surgery? Make sure they are careful with the band...wouldn't want it to get messed up. Please keep us posted!!!!

Kathy thanks for the pics....I don't think we got together in Oct because of the fall fests and stuff going on. I think you have them all. You go girl!!! Ok so Good Morning NC...I am at work been here for an hour and needed to take a little chat break. Anything exciting going on today? My dog got under the tree last nigth and unwrapped a present that wasn't even hers. She got into a box of choc and this is the second time this year. UGH..she was sick we left this morning but I think she will be ok. We left her in her kennel tis morning which is not something she is use to. What a way to start off a monday morning. Hope everyone is doing good....

I would do it over and over again if I had to. I am a lucky one that got to stay right here in my hometown to get it done. I have wonderful insurance. I have had great follow up care and I feel very good about that. So YES I would do it again no questions asked.

Oh I love this.... Pat that would be really nice also. We too have a house but it's in N Mrytle Beach. So we will have to keep that in mind as well. I can't wait to see our picture thread going...Kathy you should post the very first picture of us at the mall in June. I think I have one from July or Aug..I think it's Aug. Oh I can't remember now it might have a date...Actually I have 2. It would be cool to see our progess. Today I started wrapping gifts...My back is killing me!!! My dad comes in Thursday night I can't wait to see him. He has been gone since Aug and will be home the first of Jan. It's rough on my parents but they are surviving(sp). Went to a cookie exchange today...BAD!!!!!! I am sure I will gain a little this week. I am not looking forward to getting on the scale tomorrow morning. Karen that is wonderful news...well that he cares enough to call you on a sunday afternoon. That shows he knows his patients. That is great...Hang in there girl you will be done before you know it.

Melissa...yes I have a list printed of most of us. I will update it as more people come. Jennifer....lets do lunch sometime soon. I want to meet you and want you to feel comfortable coming. Just remember we were all new at one point and really we don't bite....but I totally understand where you are coming from. So the next time I am out that way I will email you in advance and we can plan lunch..or maybe Karen and I could meet you on a saturday for lunch first....Just let me know. I had the same problems until I lost weight. It is really amazing what weight will do to your body. Call you gyn and I am sure he or she will tell you if you lost a little weight it would help. Then again it may not. I could really go 9 - 12 months with out one and then when I would get one it would be 2 -3 days. Being on the pill is only thing that helped me and now lossing some weight has helped. Good Luck and call the doctor....

Karen you are doing so good at waiting...your time is coming and it will happen before you know it. Stay strong and continue to pray as it will all work out the way it's suppose to.

Thanks everyone...I never thought 6 months out I would feel this good and for the first time I can say I actually can see the difference. I have alot of people at work who don't know I had it done and they are asking me what I am doing and that I look great. That realy helps also. Angie you are doing awsome to girl...50+ in just under 6 months with no fill is something to proud about. Your are truly brain banded as well as being banded. Hang in there Melissa...don't give up. Something that has really helped me was my food journal. I know it's a pain in the rear I guess that's why I have kind of gotten away from it, but it is so worth it. Note to self....start journal back. This place is just the best!!!!

I agree with what has been said. My aunt had GBS a couple of years ago and yes she did loss alot of her weight but now she is struggling to keep it off. So while it's taking you a little longer to loss...yours will be more permenant because you are learning the right way to eat.

Well I don't know if I am half way there or not. It's just a starting point for me. I know what size clothes I want to be able to wear and when I get to that weight I will happy. However I know I will need to at least loss down to there to make it reachable. This is how much I wanted to loss in a year...I need to get my butt in gear and get the rest off me. I hit my 6 month mark yesterday...here is where I stand: My BMI is under 40 (38) I have lost 67 pounds I have lost 39% of my excess body weight I have dropped 2 clothing sizes I have the most wonderful friends here on LBT! I posted this under the support fourm but I wanted to tell you all directly...not sure if you get out to the other fourms much. I still have a ways to go go but with all of you with me I know I can do it!!!!

I feel great!!! I hit my 6 month mark yesterday, I had an appt with my Dr Monday and found out that I have lost 39% of my excess body and my BMI is under 40 (38). I have lost 67 pounds. I have have dropped 2 clothing sizes and I will dry my clothes now. Never would have done that 6 months ago. Have meet some wonderful friends here on the LBT which offers great support. I have a new best friend...my band! Things I still need to work on...exercise more. Chew my food...I still eat in a rush sometimes and can get caught. I am sure there are more but I am still so happy about my where my life is headed I just had to share. Any others 6 monthers out there?? How are you doing?

Talked to Kami today and she can't make it. She said she would see us in Jan though. From the looks of it girls...there's not going to be that many. Karen, Melissa, Kathy & Kim...any others???? Jennifer? Angie? Dianne? Where in the world is Loretta?

See I told you to keep your faith!!!! Oh I am so excited for you. I live in Concord so if you need anything you just give me a call. I can be there in 10 mins. I wish you could make this saturday but understand....please try to come in Jan we would love to finally meet you.

Oh hang in there....Keep your faith and prayers going and you never know what will happen. It's worth a try to call another Dr. I know Dr. Voellinger is staying and has opened his own pratice. I don't know what his schedule is like but you could try calling them. Also don't give up on your insurance. Check with them that since you got your approval if it's schedule in Jan could they still cover? I would ask and lastly...until Jan 06 is here you want know for sure if your insurance is going to cover it not. It could be something that slips back in there at the last minute... Hang in there we are still praying for you...also there is no need to leave us...we can still be great support for you in any journey you have. I said today and I will say it again...this is my family!!!!
