  1. You all are so lucky! My doctor called this morning (Sunday) at 8:30! I knew what was coming. He told me that he was very sorry, but he made a mistake and I should be on full liquids for 4 weeks. He asked if I had eaten any soft foods and I had (yogurt and mashed potatoes). He said that since I had no problems with them I could add an occasional soft food but to keep it mostly to full liquids. :think If I stay on liquids for 4 weeks then I won't have to worry about the band because I will lose all 100 pounds by then!
  2. I think that my doctor is so careful because I was only the second person that he did at this hospital (the first three were all done on the same day).
  3. Mine recommends a few days of clear liquids after a fill but he is very conservative. He had us at clear liquids for 10 days after surgery and soft food for a full month.
  4. How much liquid are you taking in? During the clear liquid phase I took in very few calories because nothing was interesting to me. I had only water, low cal jello, and fruit ices. This was bad though because I got very light headed and my memory was totally absent!
  5. I was banded on the 8th and my incision was nothing like you have. I had no bruising at all. Is the yellow you mention like bruising or actually coming out of the incision? You should call the doctor. I met with my doctor for the first time since surgery and he was actually surprised that I hadn't called him in that time period. Good luck.
  6. Congratulations! I got my band on June 8th and the only problem I have is that the doctor kept me on clear liquids for over 10 days. I was light headed and had only about 90 minutes of energy in me. Today I started soft foods. Yipee!
  7. Congratulations! I too just got banded on Wednesday!
  8. I am sorry that I came to this discussion so late but I was just banded two days ago! What a great discussion to read. I am wondering though about the golfball feeling - will I know it when I have it? Also, what does PB mean?
