How Long Do YOU....

How long does your Doctor make you fast after each fill? Just curious... Mine makes me go on a liquid diet for 48 hours... a friend of mine only has to wait 1 hour. I'm just wondering what the norm is!! =D

Mine recommends a few days of clear liquids after a fill but he is very conservative. He had us at clear liquids for 10 days after surgery and soft food for a full month.

Hi - My doc says clear liq for 1 day - then slowly add real food back into diet.

I think that my doctor is so careful because I was only the second person that he did at this hospital (the first three were all done on the same day).

You all are so lucky! My doctor called this morning (Sunday) at 8:30! I knew what was coming. He told me that he was very sorry, but he made a mistake and I should be on full liquids for 4 weeks. He asked if I had eaten any soft foods and I had (yogurt and mashed potatoes). He said that since I had no problems with them I could add an occasional soft food but to keep it mostly to full liquids. :think If I stay on liquids for 4 weeks then I won't have to worry about the band because I will lose all 100 pounds by then!

I have to do liquids the remainder of the day of the fill, then back to solids the next day. He stresses to me to make sure I return to solids the following day!
