    7 Month Stall/Plateau

I am experiencing a similar stall. I was sleeved on May 7 and have lost 85 pounds. I have about 25 pounds left to reach my target weight. Have been sitting right on 205 lbs for about a month. Played golf all summer but winter is coming on here in Canada so I have moved exercising inside to the gym. Workout 6 days per week, including weight lifting, swimming, and treadmill work. I'm hoping it is the added muscle but I'm not sure. I just know I feel amazing and despite the scale not moving I still notice that I am losing, because my clothes tell me so. I hope things work out for you, and keep up the hard work.

    Carbonation?

I am currently 4 months post op and have been drinking no sugar energy drinks daily. They are carbonated have only 10 calories and give me the jump I Need to get started working out. Some have found it difficult to drink anything carbonated but I sip it slowly burp lots and have no issues with them.
  3. I read most threads and simply shake my head at some of the complaints posted. I am a little more than 3 months post op have soooo many reasons to complain. (Sarcasm) I hate the fact that I have lost 65 lbs 2/3 of my goal, and have lost much of my appetite. I hate that now I can walk 18 holes of golf, work for 6 hours and still have the energy to chase my wife around the house. And I hate the fact that now, rather than simply wearing clothes to cover up my size, I wear clothes that make me feel good about how I look. Go for it and don't waste your time reading negative threads.
  4. I have been reading so many threads, where people are concerned about the number of calories taken per day. I have been sleeved for three months and because of my weight loss, I am now extremely active. Should I worry about counting calories even though I'm losing 2-3 pounds per week?

    Presc Pills

I know some have difficulty swallowing pills, but I never had any issues. In fact I took my first multi vitamin 2 days post surgery while in hospital. So I would give it a try if you can

    6 weeks out with Pics

Great job!! I too was a may 7 th sleever and have lost 42 total. Cant believe how many clothes I have shrunk out of. Feels great.
  7. I was a fan of the golden arches prior to surgery, 6 weeks post op and tried a hamburger from there this week and wow what a disappointment. When you chew as much as we now do, you really taste food differently.
  8. I'm on my last couple of days of purees and the one thing that was my saving grace was chilli. It was the only food that once pureed was still delicious.

    Incisions

Today I'm 18 days post op. I also had 5 incisions, the largest being 2". My bandages were removed 5 days ago, and I definitely would have no issues swimming right now. I guess it depends on the butcher/surgeon you have performing the operation.
  10. When we exercise we tone/build muscle mass, even though we may not see it yet. Muscle is considerably heavier than fat so the scale may not show it but we are in fact losing fat at a faster rate than we may think. So keep on exercising it is the best thing we can do.
  11. Hi everyone, I'm a little over a week pre-op and to say I'm anxious may be an understatement. I'm on day 4 of pre-op shake diet which affords only 750 calories per day. Struggling with this as I do quite a bit of physical labor. I'm hoping this improves as the week goes on. My biggest concern about the surgery is my insatiable desire to drink. I always have Water on hand and I am concerned that following surgery I will be constantly thirsty. should I be? Any tip or advice is appreciated. Thanks
