  1. Thanks for your honesty and I'm glad you are feeling better
  2. I believe you... I'm 5 days post op and this full liquid is starting to suck. I'm not really hungry but I miss eating and real food. I know I can do because I have to but it is hard
  3. I am 5 days post op and I struggled with the what about down the road question and all in all I knew I can't invent trouble. I did know the dangers of down the road at almost 300 lbs and that road was looking short and miserable so I did what I felt I needed to do I got the sleeve and am now working on my second Chance.
  4. I had my sleeve done on Monday 5/19 and aside from quite a bit of gas.... I feel just the same. I don't feel hungry thank goodness, I am sipping something all the time no real pain (gas cramps) no taste changes. Can this really be so perfect?
  5. I'm glad you guys are posting. I go on the 19th and not telling many people this helps. This site has chat too. I just found it. I'm doing better than I thought week 1 pre-op but I worry about just liquid
  6. Thanks for having the courage to remind us that life still happens and it can be hard. You do get really gung ho and excited pre-op.... that's me right now nerves and all but when the honeymoon ends we gotta find new excitement and keep going. Take care and come back and chat
  7. This thread is growing. We are getting closer. Let's keep each other posted. I'm doing the pre- op diet. Whose with me? I get one meal this week then just liquid
  8. My doctor and most reported here will not go the surgery if you smoke. The risk of complications is said to increase and the healing can be prolonged. Look for a thread called tested positive for nicotine. A pre- op urine test can get your approved, scheduled surgery cancelled. I'm not a mean finger pointing ex- smoker. I have quit a few times cold turkey, by choice. Once for over a year and I liked smoking BUT I did not like how it impacts my body and I have quit again for this surgery ( a lot out of fear) but I really plan not to go back. You should be clean about 4 weeks minimum before the surgery. I already had to do a six month diet supervision and I won't let a smoke wreck my plans... I'm scheduled for May 19 and I am still on the wagon. You can do it.
  9. You are really amazing. Good work
  10. Outstanding. You look wonderful.
  11. Good for you.... that's my day too.
  12. Wow.... I can't wait to have the ability to walk a solid mile.
  13. I'm not gonna kid you that is a big ask but maybe just try to think 1 lb per month. A loss is a loss and you can guzzle water and make that happen. I did that 6 months and had only small losses but taking 4 insulin shots a day I was still pretty proud. You can make it
  14. You rock. That's 20 lbs in 2 weeks
  15. You are a very pretty lady. You go girl
  16. Congrats on your success and recovery. I have the vsg on the 19th. I am having the food funeral this weekend but in my head I feel ready. My body hurts and I am too young to go on like this and I really believe nothing could taste as good as being healthy and thinner will feel.
  17. Thanks for your response. You have given me some things to look into...particularly the amazon delivery. We're on our way
  18. Cupcake... what is the pre- op plan your doctor has for you? Who do you have to go with you?
  19. How is the liquid diet going? Do you have a date yet Huff?
  20. My date is the 19th and I start the pre-op diet Monday. You are a veteran to me:). Know you are on the path the the you that you dreamed about.
  21. You are not crazy... you are doing what you need to do. Good luck and be well. We'll be here when you get out of surgery
  22. I can't imagine how I won't starve....protein shakes and one meal week one. Week two all liquid. OMG. I'm already wondering if grapes or watermelon are really just " chewy liquid".
  23. I'm the same day. What is your pre-op diet? Mine is liquids and one meal two weeks out then straight liquid the week before. I like the Adkins shakes. I'm excited and nervous. I'm 44 in TN. How about you?
  24. BRAVO. I hope I can lose that much
